  3. well the problem we have is that when we were on very hard times the vets here didnt get paid,we have paid what we owe now but ,rightly they wont see us anymore and the other vets wont let us register either, word gets around.given the amount of publicity that the pdsa get saying that they are the good guys helping folk with animals in need naturally i thought they would help, and looking on the net it would appear i am not alone .people give them wads of cash thinking they will help anyone in need but they wont unless you live within a certain catchment area. as for the question of why i wo
  4. as you will all know ime no fan of the rspca, well now this encompasses the PDSA! yesterday our dogs scrapped over one of many beef bones in the run, result being our new dog brin loses an eye, first off we thought it was just swollen due to a close bite, but today when bathing the eye it became apparent the orb had been punctured,so we look up the nearest PDSA animal hospital, having seen them on the telly showing what good eggs they are helping injured animals etc we thaught it the best bet. so we all piled in the car and used the last of our weeks fuel to travel the 30 miles to the PDSA animal
  5. this is a recipe i was given by an aunt who lived her whole life in a village near Bridgewater called Weston Zoyland.it got its parculiar name in the days when even the mention of pheasant for tea would get you up before the beak! as with most old country recipes the quantities are aproximate Aunty Conie would just add apinch of this and a shake of that but she finally put it to paper before she died in the 1980's. 1 plump pheasant, hung for 3 days . 2 tablespoons of seasoned flour 2 oz dripping or bacon fat. 2 tablespoons of condensed tomato ,ie paste or home condensed and potted. 1 p
