    light sussex are a good choice. and for meat birds i just buy them from the farms at 3 weeks old so they dnt need brooding.

    not that ime condoning it but when i was a lad no one had permission and we all still hunted! and the laws that were set up to prosecute black gangembers with ak47's walking their 'hoods' wouldnt be so vigorously enforced on a 13 year oldkid in a field with an airgun acting responsibly!

    youll have to o the same as the rest of us and do some leter writing and door knocking. one hing that helps is a membership of a shooting and field sports group thatll provide insurance as farmers worry about stray rounds and windows broke! good luck.

    they do stiffen up but the wax in the ronsel helps and if they are stiff just loosen them up by screwing thm up a few times.

    according to some old books i have on the subject any gazehound (sight hound) x boarder collie is a true lurcher. but as long as it is leggy and small brained ide call it a lurcher!lol

    the best to use is the ronseal ducks back,it has wax in it and so it actualy waterproofs the hemp as well as preserves it.

    with all this snow here ive been itching to get up on the downs for a walk,according to the BBC the snow here in the west country is the worst in 27 years! so with this in mind jack and i packed a day sack wit the kelly kettle and some snacks.     well my longdog was doing his posing bit well for the camera yesterday,pre-whiteout! he was a 'rescue' back in the summer ,he hs come on leaps and bounds ,now fully trained,he walks to heal and wont leavemy side till i tell him,and returns on command too.he is geting the idea of the finger clicks now in place of voice commands. thanks for looking.
