Bill, well done for highlighting this here; I know like many I hope both girls and indede any other missing children (for I'm sure thay are probably not the only ones) are returned safely to their families. I can'tbeging to understand what eitherfamily is feeling but my heart goes out to them.

I know there are one or two guys on here in the region; just been talking to one new member. I was thinking of maybe organising a meet for a pint somewhere so a few of us could get together and put faces to names and have a yak about the sports we love. If anyone fancies the idea, let me know.

I think you are right on this, the Labour Government under TB became the face of what politics has now become, these guys are profesionals, profesional politicians looking out for #1 - themselves. They now become politicians to pave a way for themselves, to make a comfortable position for themselves and to line their pockets. There are very few letf in the mould of the traditional politician, a statesman, whos other interests may earn him a living but politics it what ythey love and believe in, just like EP. Like them or not, but people like Lembit Opik, Michael Hesaltine and Boris Johnson

For what it’s worth, i don’t think it’s a racist post. In fact I’m very much against racism or any kind, yet i do agree with much of what you say. I agree that some immigration is essential to the continued success of our economy, however, i disagree with mass immigration ,since they need to be housed, employed, educated and to have health care provided for them, and it’s a sad fact that we are unable to provide most of these essentials to those already living within this country. I disagree that immigration, such as we are now experiencing, is doing anything to help our country,

I think i have been badly ripped off.

If you like the gun and it shoots well for you, keep it. As an exRFD/firearms dealer I would say the price you paid was a tad high, but not unduly so. Like I say, if it works for you, keep it. If you sold it privatly you will only ever get what a buyer is willing to pay, prob in the region of £300 or maybe a tad more, up to £350. Px at a gun shop, probably half that. Remember at a shop, they have to make a profit on both guns within the px deal as well as be able to sell on your gun at a later date. -
There are two oprions I think you should look at; firsty the zap collars do work, as you have experianced, but the cost is quite high; I would recomend looking into hireing one. There are companies that do this, Pac, Ithink is one - they advertise in the back of shooting times. Second option might be to invest in a "spray" collar; at about £40 they aremuch cheaper, less "cruel" and can work just as well. They spray a citronella burst into the dogs face and have much the same result. I would also recomend following the instructions carefully as there is a fine line between using either ty

Plenty of food forthought here, with some interesting opinions and suggestions. I think we all know about the infighting and "rubbish" that has annddoes go on between the existingorganisations and there is little we or anyone can do to stop this; its as much to do with each of theirown identaties as it is political infighting between them to see who is top dog; there is much more at stake thatthe image of a few bloody organisations here!!! Chris, I don't mind the poll being added to/edited at all. Its important to note what I think is missing is not just another "hunting" oeganisation, -

The Sporting Agent replied to The Sporting Agent's topic in Driven, Walked Up, Rough Shooting
A guy I soot with has two; one called Pepsi, the other Kaffer!!! -
Thanks to IanB we have a new sub forum for general game shooting; rough, walked up and driven etc..... Guess it might be busier during the season but hopfully we'll all post and find some interesting topics in here..!
-
Great, thanks, just thought it might be an idea...

Just wondering if anyone else thinks its an idea to have an additional sub forum in the Shooting Sports forum to cover driven/walked-up/rough shooting? We have one for Stalking, one for Pigeons & decoying and one for wildfowl, but not for shooting covering pheasant/partrige etc.....

I hear what you are saying; as a guide your probabilities are one theory, a strong one but a theory none the less. The poll does not show that 13 out of 14 are not represented at all like you suggest, its a posibility but its not a fact. Also your fig for total views compared with those voted it's not totally acurate, many of us have visited the thread on multiple occasions, thus the counter increases while the same people are viewing the thread, some of those 300odd visits are multiples from the same person. The Pony Club? Of course I was having a laugh; making light of the fact that there ar -

Hi there, welcome!

I'm on the look-out for a Greener GP shotgun, rare enough, but I'm after one of the rarer ones with the ported barrel and multi choke with case hardended action. Not fussed about condition but I do want it to be orriginal. I'm keeping a look out on guntrader and at a few shops, but if anyone comes across one PM me...... Cheers!

Is there anyone here in the area into ratting? I've just moved to the area from Shrops/Wales borders and would love to get out and see some ratting, totally new experiance for me; shooting, stalking, gundogs and fly fishing are my things. If there is anyone in the area who wouldn't mind me tagging along, I don't mind getting my hands dirty so to speak and would love to learn. Just to clarify, I'm not after permission, I'd just like to tag along and learn a bit. And I don't mind stumping up for a after! Thanks.

Wow; just read the thread through!!! Chill out a tad Guevara..........thats a polite way of saying "wind your ing neck in a tad"........I've read and replied to a number of your posts on here since you joined; you seem to be asking lots of questions, good on you for showing interest and wanting to learn. But you are coming across a bit like a 14yo caffene fueld kid, jumping from one place/idea/thought/question to the next, just relax a bit with the atitude. There are plenty on here with a wealth of experiance that will answer any questions you have, just don't jump down their throats, an

My spelling is pants but I do think I have a pretty decent command of English, but just because my spelling is cr#p does that make my posts or threads any less valid? There are one or two on here that seem to think it does. From what I've seen its those that are prolific in picking out mistakes in other peoples posts that are not contributing the the form with interesting posts or threads of their own, and when the do pop up, like you say harycatcat they just want to show off or put down someone who has started a thread or post, because they can. We are all here for the same thing, su

Agree with you; I happen to be a member of BASC, CA, & CLA, each for its own reason but I totally agree with your coment above and the sentiment behind it. Get the mass involved, get them all united and show the good that our sports do...get into schools, town centres, markets, concerts, talks, displays the lot; it all helps, but most of all, the one thing we cal all do regardless of income or chosen sport? Invite a friend who isn't from a field sports background to join us for a days sport.......widen the numbers and show people first hand.
