jazz, did yours show all the signs of pregnancy? my jill has got the fatish belly,(although not massive) niples showing,and has been nest building but like you say....i'll let nature take it's course! thanks for eveyones help,puts my mind a little at rest..

just an update of the jill, shes had about 10 kits i think maybe more not rearly disturbd her much but shes doing fine and at the minit the kits look alright to. are you saying she went almost a week over? at the moment my jill is 5 day's overdue..... cant see owt happening at the moment. from the days i counted yeah but the hob might of mated a few times or not done the job straight away,i moved her to a smaller box aswell and this seemed to make her more relaxed. ok mate, i'll have to see what happens over the weekend......

we left them together over two weekends, she looks to be carrying,and has been nest making it's now 45 day's today......

mine is 44 day's and still nothing,all the signs are there tho! as anyone else experienced this? hope its not a phantom pregnancy......

stubby,how long does it take for the vulva swelling to go down after successful mating? (i know each jill will be differant) is two week normal?

you should give it a go, i got "her indoors" on the job! i got a kit off the net it came with a cd too,we watched it a few times till we understood what the crack was,then she set about the job(with a bit of help from me) she soon got the hang of it and can run a couple off each night no problem....so next season i'll be out in the fields with my brand new "hand made" purse nets..........cant beat it! ooooh and she gets twenty fags for every 5 nets.........

kay, is the vulva in that pic the normal size or is she a large jill? ive got a smallish jill her vulva as been out for about 2 weeks and dont seem to be getting any bigger and its nowhere near the size of the one in the pic. cant make up my mind wether she's ready for mating or needs a little longer.. any thoughts? cheers.

we were shaking it and hoping he would lock on to it, but i think he knew the score and was playing hard to get...when we waffed the guts about he managed to nick a bit and shot back down.

is there an easy way of getting your ferret out a bury? or is it a matter of just waiting? we had loads of hassle at the weekend trying to get our hob to come out, he would keep poking his head out of differant holes but would'nt leave them.....we tryed the rabbit guts tick and full rabbit but he would have a sniff and off he'd go again...any tips please??
