    I used my old MK1 box with the MK3M collars as a back up. Seemed to work fine. Wish it still did cos its handy to have as a spare thats for sure!! As a matter of interest whats gone wrong with the MK3 you have?

    Just changed from AA Field to FX. Prob a quid or so a tin cheaper but a very 'similar' pellet. They work well though my Titan Manitou just shifted the POI up by approx 1" at 35yds so had to re zero.

    I am no expert but as far as I am aware no rifle shoots truly 'flat' Trajectory has to occur! There are online ballistic calculator charts where you can programme in sight height bullet weight/type velocity wind speed etc They are an interesting insight to trajectory etc thats for sure!!

    The shoot in next village are getting less than a quid a brace!! Price game dealers pay is crap!! They also weigh each bird at the dealers. If the dont make 'the weight' they dont pay for them but still take them!!!!!!! We get about £1 for rabbits frozen with guts in, shot or ferreted. Can get around £1.60 for gutted ferreted rabbits. Around 30 years ago I was getting £1 for gutted ferreted rabbits. Dont know why the price is still the same now tho dont make sense!! Pigeons prob get 30p frozen 40 - 50p fresh. Again 15- 20 years ago I used to get 40 - 50p for fresh birds.

    We always have a hedging hook with us and thread em on that. Can always carry a few by hand or get an extra stick

    Nice rifle mate. Am seeing about getting one in 17HMR. Had a good deal offered to me £280 (approx) for the bare rifle brand new out of the box!!

    Go for the CZ American / varmint its a superb rifle. My mate has just got one in 17HMR 20" heavy barrel screwcut for £260 brand new!!!

    Accuracy is surely down to the marksman not the gun!! If I were shooting rabbits a sub 100yds recon I would choose the 22 rimfire purely on bullet costs and noise!

    Make your own is the best, you get just what you need then. As for a compartment for nets, total waste of time! I usually carry around nets and use an old postal delivery bag. Would need a bloody big 'compartment' for all them! Could see the advantage of a compartment for locator collars spare batteries etc tho!

    Just been out to try out some FX pellets thro my .22 Titan Manitou. Have been using Air Arms field for some time but at £12.00 a tin thought I would give the 'cheaper' FX's a go. The rifle is 'zeroed' with the Air Arms at around 30yds. I had three shots loaded with Air Arms and they were all on the mark. (ish) Changing to the FX's I had 3 more at the same target. The point of impact with these was approx 1" higher than with the Air Arms (no left right variance almost a one hole group!) Am now looking forward to having a go at the rabbits with em they seem spot on to me! May just h

    A complete farce this contest. Two men who in the build up hated each other and were gonna give it large when they met! Got in the ring and 'Ordinary' Harrison wasnt interested and only thew one punch. David Haye kept the fight going til the 3rd round cos he had bet on himself to stop it in the 3rd!! Should be investigated for bet fixing!! and neither one should get their purse money. Boxing has def gone to pot, too many titles too many weights. The game has been spoilt by promotors like Don King, Barry Hearn and Frank Warren.

    You can go hunting in a full breakdown recoveryman hi viz jacket and trousers, day or night and still get your quarry, so long as your field craft is good. Aint that the truth ask the Yanks! They have to wear hi vis or take the risk of getting shot by a 'fellow hunter'
