Have a look at some old video or dvd footage of Andre Geogescu in Australia shooting foxes with a 12G and HMR its unreal!! As is his 'handlining great white shark' escapades!!!
-
Never had a jill eat young yet and I always go in the nest on the second day for a count up and clear out!
-
Dont waste it eat it yourself its superb!!

I had a 17HMR for 3 years, (At the same time I also had a .22 Rimfire and a .270 Centrefire), I dont think it's a generic 'Foxing' round, I shot several Foxes with it during it's life with me, none dropped to the shot, that said none got away either, but all needed shooting at least twice, my lesson on this is that as long as the Fox is close enough (my opinion 60 yards max) then a 17 or for that matter a .22RF will do the job OK, because you can head/heart shoot from that range. But to set out to shoot Fox whatever and where ever one pops up then the 17 is just not enough gun. I traded mi

Cant see the point Shotgun spreads the shot so no need for a defined point of aim really! Saying that many moons ago I did have a red dot on my shotgun. All it was was an 1" long 'clear' tube about 1/4" dia. It was fixed right up against the foresight on the rib. The idea was if you couldnt 'see' a red dot then you were not mounting the gun correctly! It did work OK.

Personally would go for a CZ .22 rimfire if just for short range rabbits. Moderated its very very quiet using subsonics and cheap to feed!! If you going 'long distance' the def a CZ 17 HMR. From memory my mate paid £260 for his CZ425 American (brand new!) Both are great from the box and but really need a trigger kit, only a tenner and easy to fit!
-
I may be wrong mate but I dont think you will find a 177 pellet weighing 20 grains!!

Are these 'Euro' ferts known to be nasty then? In all the years I have kept ferts, and it is a good few years, I have never had a jill bite or be nasty when they have had kits! I have always handled kits right from the start, often the 2nd day! At present both my jills have kits and are laying together. The kits, now 41/2 weeks old, even come out of the nest to me when i feed up!

CCI Claybuster Carts / Any Good For Woodies
masmiffy replied to mjr88's topic in Pigeon Shooting & Decoying
Me and a shooting buddy have used 28g 7's on pigeon with no probs at all. Had a good few bags of over 100 last year using them. At 'decoyed' distances they work great!! BIt cheaper than 32 6's as well. We try to get 'bin ends' from the local clay club if we can! -
nice pic. Seen one fert kit seen em all tho. I got 19 !!!!
-
Hve done rads with a good undercoat or two then finished with emulsion to blend em into the walls. Never had a problem doing it and like i said it 'hides' the rads
-
only thing hes got over gerrad is his first touch and his quick one or two touch passing better at being outside the box and shooting from distantance, stronger, better at tgacklin and scores more goals. Apart from that gerrard is better. for a start its common knowledge that tackling is scholes major weakness, as for scoring more goals scholes has scored 150 in 676 appearances and gerrard scored 140 in 557 apps so he clearly doesnt score more. gerrard is faster stronger better tackler better passer(except for short one touch passing) more adaptable can play near enough anywhere an

My 2 both have had kits One 3 weeks back the other a week later all together there were 19! Did the same as always went in the nest and counted em the day after they were born. Always have and never had a problem. Both jills are great mums and were taking them back out of my hands.

lamping/coursing/shooting/offroading motors
masmiffy replied to dan4x4's topic in 4x4's, Quads & ATV's
mate has a swb vitara which he has 'converted' into a lamping waggon. Goes most places with no worries! One back seat removed hole cut thro roof and 'tank type' access cut in. Opens up onto a shooting platfrorm (sheet of 18mm ply). Gives 360 deg stable bipod rest. Its a very good idea and works a treat. -
C'mon pal, i'm a\ liverfool supporter and enjoyed the game last night from a neutral point of view (and the fact united fans would'nt be harping on about even more acheivments). It pains me to say the only decent team in manchester wear red shirts and have dominated english football for TOO LONG The only plus side is that after fergie riegn finishes i think there reign will also finish Im sure God himself will have another Scotsman in line to keep the red machine moving forward. Personally I recon they may go for Martin O'Neil

Titan?? does this mean he's capable of fettling falcons too? If anyone knows the answer I wouldn't mind finding out. ha! unfortunately, I messaged whoever it is who is in charge of his facebook page, and apparently, there was a right hoo-haa just before Titan went into liquidation and Falcon took over which resulted in John resigning whilst Titan/ Falcon continued to use his valve designs or something on the new Falcon rifles. cut a long story short, I was told that John won't touch falcons on principle, although he will work on the old titans! I'd love to hear the full story of w

Titan?? does this mean he's capable of fettling falcons too? John was one of the founders of Titan and was involved right from the off in design and concept from memory. I have spoke to him and as has been said hes is a top bloke. Gotta save some pennies and see what I can get done!

Had a Blue one years ago was a great dog. Dont eat as much a people think and also dont need a lot of exercise. Prone to hip problems and as has been said short life span. For a big dog you hardly know you got em. Oh and bear in mind if you do get one as a pup house train it quick!! Its a big mess to clear up Also bear in mind the worktops dinner table etc are all at head height!
