A greyhound that size would be a runt - you'd be better off with a good whippy or grew. Midget greyhounds whatever next...smh. My ex-courser is small at 26" and 30kg, my other grey is 30.5 " and 35 kg - THESE ARE BOTH BITCHES. I've met dogs that have weighed 50kg.

cool i used to own her but sold her to england she is a nice fawn little bitch small world isnt it Yep, really small. Here she is now...6 1/2 years old and still going strong, no longer racing but enjoying catching the odd bunny in her retirement.

I own Newry Hill's Granddaughter Miss trotter. She's a fab dog - fast, sweet natured, keen and can run all day. She was open class in her racing days.

Hi Bitzalurcher. I started using greys since I got Min, nothing outruns my girl! Her sire was Cool Performance and her Dam was an Irish courser. She has the racer's speed with the stamina of the courser, and she can turn on a sixpence, but she only chases if she feels like it. So I thought I'd get a proper lurcher/tumbler, something lurcherxlurcher, and somehow ended up getting Isis - another grey and probably too tall for rabbit. She still catches them though, just have to stop her doing a victory lap with them. Daft dog.

Is she straining to pee/peeing all the time? If so it'll be cystitis - get her to the vets, she needs some ABs mate. If not she may have over done it when running. This can cause Exertional Rhabdomyolisis. The signs to watch out for are: the dog cramps badly, dehydrates, loses weight and the backline muscles remain swollen and sore, and start to melt away after 12-18 hours and the dog passes dark red urine. If this is the problem you must get your bitch to the vet for iv fluids and electrolyte therapy before she deteriorates. I'm sorry to sound so scaremongering but I've seen good dogs die

Hi I'm Kay. I have two hounds. Min - a retired racing grey. Min catches the odd bun when she's in the mood. Isis, an eight month old pup. Mother grey, father ? probable grey. Isis is currently in training for rabbits, but her recall isn't 100% yet,(any tips would be appreciated), and as she's a big girl at 30 inches at the shoulder , 31 inch at the highest point of her back, with some growing still to do, I don't want to do serious work with her yet. She's mad keen though and will bring me bunnies she catches on the way past. She's gonna make a brilliant hunter.
