ive just sorted it for me, weekend, proper hare day, two hour drive for them but its worth it, just rang farmer, he says there's pheasants everywhere, that'll keep my my mate happy with his male, its hare paradise out there lol

crap day today, went up the peak with two other friends, my female gos, male gos and female harris, the female harris had two kills from the motor before we got to the grounds, tried one place, for some reason everybody split up???? not got a flight, but we regrouped again after an hour or so, kicked a rabbit up in a gorse bush but it went back in, I did slip my bird but it wasn't having any, got my bird back on the fist, male gos had a go at the same rabbit out the gorse bush, hit it twice but lost it, got back to car try another place, same again everybody split up, couldn't settle not knowi

memorable run too lol, buzzing off that flight, if you saw her last year(first year I flew her) she wouldn't of done that, but found that magic weight this season and she's really pushed beyond anything I expected of her, im enjoying her a lot more, she can have a mad five at bating for no reason( as if the last owner let her go everytime he/she thought she'd seen something, like she'd picked up some bad habit, but soon settles when she knows I don't let her get her own way, she was good on the rabbits last year but this year she will will go any distance to get what she's in pursuit of I don'

a short video of today, see how far I have to run to her, watch my shadow for my victory punch to let the others know she got it lol, oh and its bloody hard to run with all the gear and ferret box haha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUEXJri5wjw&feature=youtu.be

Cheers mate.its only took me to get her entered in her second season and lets hope there be more.as I got my first hare in the second season and first pheasant and now a grey back. Well done Sean. They just get better and better every year if you put the work in, like you have. The good thing about a female on crows is they pulverise them. My female has taken a few and she doesn't get anywhere near the hassle as the male does. Sometimes a crowd will come in and mob the hell out of your bird. around here the sky goes black if you catch a crow, they just come from everywhere

hope so it shouldn't be long, getting some hard frost here now, even some snow lastnight, today, had a cracking flight on rabbit, the rabbit bolted out in the field, straight in to the strong headwind, bird turned it a few times but she over shot it and she landed........but she got up and gave chase even though the rabbit had a right good lead on her and in to the wind, and she bloody caught it just before it made it to the next hedgeline!!!! get in, had a fair run just to get to her, but I was over the moon she put in that extra effort, atb bullet

haha, I put the idea to sean and he was ok to keep it going on our threads lol, but atleast it wont disappoint you now, when you getting one? Probably in 10 years when you've all move on to something else.......I'm a techno dinosaur! Haha im self taught, keep deleting things as I find a better way or find ways to improve the footage on the editing side of things lol, the more I do the more I learn I guess

managed a quick hour out today, tried two duck ponds but nothing on them, set of across fields to next one when a hare shot off from a good distance, slip bird and she covered the ground real fast, lost sight of the pair after she flew under the barbed wire fence in to the next field, ran down to where I lost sight of her to find her on the floor under a bush, must of where she lost it, decided to do some recalls as didn't have much time today as got hospital appointment with missus
-
have you tried it in slow motion though? it can be a bit blocky on certain settings, that why I like the one im using, the slow motion is awesome to show movements etc that you cant see at normal speeds,

today we were back out up the peak area, had a walk around first to see if any squatters were laying out, nowt to fly at so ferreted a sett, first slip for me rabbit was out and in as quick as a blink, second slip my bird caught as the rabbit was a bit worst for wear as looked as the ferret had been at it, a kill is a kill, next slip my mate male gos nailed a rabbit from the same sett, next was another mates harris and it was unlucky not to catch as it hit it once, ferret holding one to ground that my mate dug out we then walked a few fields to try geta hare but no joy, the female harris mana

just thought the topic can go here for the gopro hints and tips save glogging up threads or having a three way conversation on different threads, feel free to add what you find best(settings etc) I find 720p at 60fps on low light has been best for me, ive played about with my settings now atb bullet

it should grow back, what tranny you using?, im going back to backpacking next season doubled up with the tail mount, just using a RT+ at the mo, going to use a scout aswell, the good thing about the backpack it stays on through out the moult, my male's lasted 5 season before it came off

I just listen for the beeps when I turn it on, press record, if ive forgot and try it again you get multiple beeps when you've press to stop recording, just press it again, that's all I do I just use the wifi control on the phone and turn it off and on without touching a button on the gopro I guess its different for you when your lamping sean, if its not my slip or walking between setts is the only time I turn mine off, sometimes I stop and start it again to keep each footage short When I'm lamping when I'm just about to go in the field to start lamping I turn it on and only turn it off when

I'm using the head mounting strap and think its the best way to get these flights, would like to see if I could get one on the bird, the gopro hero 3 is doing a good job for me as I'm only using it to record flights, and I did a test run on them cheaper batterys on ebay for the gopro they last the same time as gopro battery,so its not hard to pick out where there getting there batterys from and just stick the own sticker on it and charge you £15. that's not good, im glad I haven't ordered one yet, that's what mates are for lol, head strap for me too with me bob hat on so I don

great stuff, how you mounting your gopro? mines on me head, just been looking at the z-1 rider and the gopro gimble , thinking if it would make much difference to warrant buying one lol

thanks mate, hoping to do a bit of a DVD for myself, I know what you mean, the gopro seems like a fixed feature on my head now I forget its there!! funny yesterday when my bird got spooked just as I was about to slip on a bolting rabbit, I had to climb over a wooden fence that was slippery and I slipped half way over on to my betweens and yelled out in pain, all caught on my cam!!! and I got my mate falling over, i'll save them for the funnies lol
