    my new bird,

cracking looking harris, wish you all the best, please make sure you fly with telem on even if you just buy a transmitter, loads of folk will be happy to help track it down if ever need to, i started this way, till i could afford a reciever, ive helped to track a few peoples birds, feeling is great even if it aint your bird, plus it helps with experiance, your mentors should help you any way atb bullet

    training

top reply kat, its only easy if you have the knowledge already, if you havent, dont try it on your own, get a mentor and dont get a bird before getting telem! atb bullet
  4. just intresting to find out who's getting themselves a new bird for this coming season? i have just put my order in for a female spar, still going to fly my male gos too, cant wait to get my new spar, atb bullet

  7. hi jasper, how are you finding your muck boots? i wouldnt go for anything else since having a pair nice catch too with you harris stoaty atb bullet
  8. why would you have a tail gaurd on your bird whilst its moulting, this is the only time you'd get the stress marks or if its a youngster, but even then it wouldnt be hard penned! i always use my tail gaurd when traveling,on a kill or out on the high perch, i take it off when flying or if i soak him down
  9. starting a bird in the pen then taking it outside expecting it to do the same aint gonna work, doing it this way is almost like training the same hawk twice if you get what i mean, the same really applies to the garden then going in the field, what age did he start manning this bird? what weight was it when he started it and what weight is it now?
  10. nice looking bird there mate, why does everyone seem to go on about the size of the bird as if bigger is always better?
  11. is that the flying weight or fat weight? atb bullet

  17. this is a very good gun and who ever buys it will be very pleased id snap it up myself if cash flow was a bit better i know you like this gun horris, i'd hold it you if i could mate, but it needs to go asap
  18. The trouble you have with leaving bits of rabbit ,and guts all over the place is ,you encourage foxs, magpies, and crows into the area ,then, when they have finished the little treats you have left them, they start eating the little chicks on that patch of land. ever wonderd why you are called micky nomates? tell me then micky nomates what happens to all the foxes that are shot/dug to or snared? a lad who flies his harris hawk with us feed foxes to his bird when its in moult, on the last note ian b has posted twice on this thread giving his opinion, thats not enough? atb bullet p.s. ian i
  19. glass22 just carry on what you are doing mate, atleast your learning the game, many wouldnt even be able to catch game let alone remove their keyboard warrior fingers to get out side, rabbits are pests, ask how many folk gut rabbits in the field to make their load lighter? and mutter mr fox will have that, the bloody guts they wont even give their ferret/dog/bird, leaving a full/part rabbit behind will give the song birds abreak this time of the year as maggies and crows will have them instead of young chicks, atb bullet
  20. gun now sold thanks to heritage
