The little bugger at my house was running the post and rail fence to the walnut tree so i fixed a coni clip to the top rail and attached a body grip with a walnut attached to the trigger, lets see if he can resist it for long!I put a wire cubbie over it before anyone asks.

The cheeky little bugger in my garden likes to sit above my Fenn trap tunnel and shell the walnuts, but soon they will be running low and then he will be mine.

I have used newspaper, but i find the plastic bags harder to dig through. i am not a believer in using water on dry days, the stuff starts working as soon as it hits the air anyway.what i am going to try is leaving a cheap radio behind set on radio 4 in the hope that the talking will keep the rabbits below ground.

For rabbits i find it best to block the holes with old plastic carrier bags filled with soil to seal the holes then backfill over the top.I find this seems to be better than just tuft backfilling.I return after two days to check for digout and re-gas if needed. If it is an open warren i also try to push a probe deep into the center of the warren and drop some tablets in for good results.

i have a few,i find the triggers quite hard so they need a bit of tuning,i did catch one mole by placing it in a molehill,it was just an experiment as the ground was too hard to probe, but it worked a treat.I still prefer the half barrel traps for success.

Thanks Ian,i will try it this week and let you all know how i get on. -
I went to look at a rabbit job today in some horse paddocks, there were plenty of runs through the wire fence and once the horses are removed from the paddocks i would normally be happy to fence snare, however this fence is stud netting with only 3" square holes rather than the normal sheep netting, has anyone had any experience in fence snaring this stuff?,im amazed the rabbits get through it and i am wondering if it is possible to snare or not as there is not a lot of room to leave space for the feet to pass below the loop.I would love to watch them come through in slow motion to see if they c

I think they prefer them hanging, just had mine done for £32.05 and two vasetomised for the same price. The vet said two weeks before the castrated ones can go back with the girls, and four weeks for the other two.

Yes you can sit on it ok,i glue them with Titebond 2 glue and pin them too.I wanted to use countersunk screws for the top,But the boxes are made from 9mm Birch ply and i cannot get any countersunk screws short enough.

I make boxes buddy,pm me if you are interested.there are plenty of people on here who will tell you of the quality if you ask.

i make triple and large double boxes from proper birch ply not softwood or far eastern as in my opinion its not good enough,I use protex toggle catches complete with matching protex locking clips and 100mm zinc plated tee hinges.Pm me if you are interested.
