  1. As title says, im in between Northampton and rugby and am wanting ferrets.
  2. Hi guys n gals, Just curious on your net patterns/configurations for those that make their own. i wonder how many different mesh patterns are used? I.e. 8 8 9 10 11 12 13 12 11 10 9 8 8 You get the idea... Kenny.
  3. Not sure about the american strain over here, but there are plenty of deerhound x bull/greyhound. Im sure you will have a few pics and replys.
  4. Either im pissed or im seriously missing something here. I thought a stag was a huge male deer with antlers, yours looks like a dog!!!
  5. Hi peeps, Any advice or info on a easy tune for a Webly Raider 10 shot, 22cal, or is this a shop job only? Thanks. Kenny.
  6. Hello all, ive read a few threads and it seems the place to buy sheet netting is "Advanced Netting" so ive had a look in their site and its all fishing jargon! Nylon, mono filliment, etc..... I know i want to make x2 25yrd nets so i want 100yrs for 100% bagging. So my questions are..... What materials am i ordering? It talks about mesh sizes in mils, so what size am i after there? How many deep, or does it come a size to be cut down? Is it 2mm braid i need for top and bottom lines? Ive read a few threads where people have ordered the wrong size meshing, so ide apreciate all
  7. Hi guys and gals, As title says im making my first ever longnet, or trying to. ive threw a few purse nets together so thought ide have a go. Ive made it on a large straight wire so i can slip it of, and its 16 meshes deep. Now then, ive been reading other threads about "selvedge" Can someone please explain this? Also "baggage" I understand a 100yrd longnet actually needs 150yrds of net, this gives 50% baggage? So 50yrds will need 75yrds of net? Is the net then fixed evenly at intervals to the top and bottom lines to prevent it all gathering one end? And i asume it only
  8. Nothing wrong with your plastic rings in my opinon, aslong as they dont get brittle and shatter. they certainly arnt going to rot. And apart from begining the net, there is no real reason for a top ring, ive seen plenty knitted to a 30mm bar, and only a bottom ring to "Purse" up the draw string. Hope they do you good.
  9. Hi guys and girls. Can any one please post a link or a site so i can purchase a "Loomis net needle" to fit 1" rings. The Loomis apparently holds upto 50% more twine/braid than the traditional needle. Thanks.
  10. Hi guys and gals. Im after a few ferret kits, jills preferably. I dont wanna travel a million miles for them either, im in Northamptonshire. Junction 16 or 18 of the M1. Anyone help? Thanks. Kenny.....

Been advised by a good dog man on a wippet collie greyhound. Can you please give me your opinions. Many thanks........
