  1. well done for them cracking photos, just like you's rapid7liam and myself thehunter69 enjopyed our first ever day out with the ferrets up scotland/berwick cheers scrunchy for a cracking day out really enjoyed your company and thank you day again for us , hope to get a invite soon up to scotland, also going out to malton tomorrow with a lad hope to have a good few hours while we are out ( lets hope the weather holds off ) ...

  3. I have heard that you dig a hole about 2 foot deep and throw it in and cover, or even burn them....

I went to B&Q yesterday and bought some 17mm dowel 8 ft long ( gutted when i went to the till ) i hate buying thing , i will be cutting them up to around about 800mm long and putting a slight point on one end, the top i was going to come down 70mm and drill a 6mm hole through it and i was going put some wire through and tie it top a rubber band ( from a camping shop that you use with the peg and a tent ) the pass it through the net and hook it over the end of the pole and slide it down to the wire to stop the net falling off i will post a photo soon so you no what i mean, sounds hard b
  8. after my net has the bagging it about 27 yrds lond so it must be atleast 45/50 long
  9. well i went out the other day and bought a 27 yarder long net to try as it was i my first i didnt want i massive net..will fishing rod stand do for my net till i get some better poles i would need about 6/7 and pretty cheap i all ready have 3. I will be going to get a few more today or tomorrow if i get some free time as i off work watching my 2 kids.....( wheres the head ache tablets )

  11. dawn well done for them cracking pics, i was thinking of gettinr a camera the would be able to take photos at about 50/ 150 yrds could you tell me what kind of camrea would be best for my needs, i would be taken photo of wildlife but i love birds of prey, best one for me been a kestrel or any owl....( once seen a kestrel in my cousins back garden that backs onto a disused railway that had caught a small rabbit and we where looking at it throught the window for what seamed ages but was only about 10/15 mins, we where only about 10 ft from it...)

  13. The best thing is i am very honest and down to earth, like i said i had even offered my services as a joiner to help around the farm for free not many lads/lasses would have done that....

  17. hi folks just thought i would post this on the site and just to let other people how hard i am finding to get a bit permission to work the ferrets, i have phoned, posted letters, and knocked on doors all the the north east area and finding it hard getting permission, i have even offered my services as a joiner to help out with the odd job for free but still had no look, i have a friend called bob..that going to take me out very soon and hes even got a spare hob for me to go with me two gills, cheers bob for all your help i really mean that .. ..speak soon bob and i will pop down asap..
  18. hey up paul put a little piece a sandstone in wi em mate i never clipped a ferretts nails yet ok bob will talk to about it soon, I cannot wait to get out .....
  19. hi lads wheres the best place to get a mk 3 finder the cheapest place i can find is in the countrymans weekly for £134.00 can anybody beat that....hope to get one next wk..

  21. i was just looking at my ferret claws the other day and thought there where getting slightly long and thought of a way i might be able to get them alittle smaller, would to ok to put a small square about 18'' x 18'' of roofers felt in my cage so as the ferrets can scrat away or will it be a waste of time and will the black tar get stuck in the little feet/claws....cheers for any replys.
