  1. Cant believe nobody vouched for a hilux.Sod the fuel consumption, never get stuck with the right driver .
  2. Never said there was any shame.Understand the early season thing but personally I can wait for a target buck to shed as I take out guests and they usually want a trophy to take ,regardless of medal size.If you worry about them wandering off your patch then fair comment, get them now. Some of us still struggling with the doe cull
  3. Couple of bows look good down the sides as well as spraying with glitter paint.
  4. Possibly not a good start to a dynasty.
  5. You really must sort that date thing out missus.
  6. Well spotted .A geniune reason for the date and the thread will obviously be forthcoming.
  7. Training starts with most of us from the moment the pup has its second jab[innoculations].Things like jumping up and crapping indoors can be stopped at an early age simply by chastising the pup verbaly as it misbehaves .I like to introduce a pup to what it can and cant chase when its confident and has adult teeth ,around 6 months. In the U.K we do not have the use or the need for artificial means of entering a dog,ie-fox pens ?I like to start a pup as an individual so it dosnt have to rely on the pack and can work alone.A trained dog is a must for us here as the law at the moment has changed re
  8. Have you all looked at this thread? 50 posts! we all care desperately about the shitehole that this country has become and is drowning in. I don't think most of the BNP could count their fecking fingers, but have you seen how bliar and the rest are running scared in case the BNP get votes? Vote for 'em as a protest vote at least rather than not vote at all. Everyone who doesn't vote is giving bliar and the cycling yuppie their paycheck. Go on, vote BNP and watch them squirm. It might even make 2 shags bang his head rather than his secretary on the desk. My thoughts too mate ,Good one.
  9. Nice to see you took bucks out of velvet. Cant understand anyone shooting them whilst covered?
  10. Do you mean let the dog gourge till full then fast for a day or feed a set meal then fast ? Ive found when a dog is working 3-4 days a week in the winter its a job to keep the weight on so dont do it any more .The theory behind the fast is to clear the gut and bowel out and also watch the weight in summer. It does produce better toned dogs ,though,as their bodies learn to burn excess fat faster.
  11. Do the barrels stop the little buggers from pissing their beds?
  12. All I can say is that if your happy to breed from these dogs and to say so in public then god help the working terrier.Bad jaw is not as widespread as you lads believe and is localized by inbreeding .Get out and about more .
  13. On the issue of immigrants ,it goes far beyond what gov is in power .European directives say who and how many come in not our gov .We are the only european country to have met all the directives issued by the E.U.It does say that gov is weak it also says -why the hell are we told what to do from Brussels.Any gov getting into power in this country is only a puppet.Briton is the only European country to let asylum seekers into our society BEFORE they are vetted ,during which time they do a runner and are then just a growing statistic.France turns more away than it lets in.A vote for b.n.p may at
  14. So long as the problem is further back than 5 generations ,then the terriermen wanting to breed new stock has a good chance of keeping away from this .5 gen being how long recessive genes will not show.
  15. Foxdropper , you keep a nuttall terrier, pm me some of the names in its ped, as you may never want to breed from it  Cheers pickaxe-Im well aware of the short comings of most strains. The Nuttal bitch has more than a jaw problem at the moment .She has picked up a strain of soil born t.b which got into a rat bite. The vet tells me that even if this is curable she will always be a carrier .Shit happens.
  16. Having read this from cover to cover I cant help feeling that some of you dont know what overshot /undershot is .THESE 2 ARE JAW DEFORMITIES.Just so you know -overshot jaw means the top jaw protrudes over the lower jaw in varying degrees. Undershot jaw -this means the top jaw is inside the lower jaw in varying degrees To put up with either of these shows one of two things -the breeder has poor standards of confirmation . The local gene pool is saturated with this deformity and the breeder is loathe to look elsewh
  17. Good read mate. Now that B Plumber is gone the likes of Phill Loyd can talk about dogs and not the constant whinging of before .
  18. Pit bull dog over grey dam every time .The way I know it is the dam is usually the size and brains contributer and the dog influences the temperament and colour .Like someone said ,these crosses over here anyway are game to the end but need a firm hand regarding whats quarry and whats not ie-other dogs.
  19. no mate there *** on No harm in getting your own independent expert to check things out ,tweak co-ordinates  .
  20. Socks is right .What I would say about failing pups is this -There is a reason for it .If the pup has not the will/strength to help itself, then personally I would not prolong its life .Call it harsh ,call it lazy ,call it what you like but Ive found weak pups make weak adults somewhere a long the line .there is something wrong somewhere with an animal that does not have the WILL to live .
  21. Totally agree mate which is why I bought the 222 The problem arises when you are rabbitting and you see maybe a particular fox you have been after .As we all know ,the .22 rf needs a bit of practice at different ranges to be efficient, and this margin of error is enough to hit the chest of a fox at ranges exceeding that which the sights are set for .I just wondered if anyone shot foxes regular enough with the rimfire to be confident in it . foxdropper.
  22. As I stated mate ,a strain is created when you are happy with what you are breeding and it breeds true. It does not matter how many pups you turn out ,they have to breed true. This is only possible by line breeding .It depends what you want in a terrier or any dog for that matter as it takes a few generations to install new factors .History of the root stock is of course very important .The rest is trial and error. If your stuct on getting a terrier from a big name then make sure you buy one from the man himself as there are a lot of terriers bred every year and passed off as such and such .D
