  2. your be surprised how few pups are breed in the kent area.if your not in the know and that takes some time down here believe me you will never know of dogs breed local. but you can get greys for nothing.ok they may get injured easy but they may not. scotty
  3. well as he says he's haveing problems getting what he wants i would go for the grey,it wont cost nothing and is worth a try.if he was neck deep in choices of pups it may be different but that was'nt his question. scotty
  4. i know of two smaller bitch ex racers that are great on rabbits!! one is trained to ferrets the other is 90% so has to be watched!!(but thats the same with a lot of dogs)they dont have the stamina for a night of lamping but can handle a few hours easy. for most people they will do very well.and for not having field sense i have met a ex racer that was the most canny dog i have ever met! and takes all prey with hardly a scratch. scotty
  5. whippet /saluki or small deer hound cross scotty
  6. it gets more like afucking youth club in here everyday!! scotty
  7. name him so we can hear his side. sounds wrong if you gave him the chance to have one and he never cam e round? how long did he expect you to keep it?? untill it was trained and entered! scotty
  8. could be distant thunder? or he may be smelling for other dogs, they do funny things when they are injured and know they wont be fit enough to tackle any "intruders" he may just be keeping out of the way untill he's better? scotty

  14. cant see they would be better than the other bull terrier x's? if you have to go to more and more grey why bother when you can get the (decent)terriers easier?? how do any that own am bulls find them as guards? all looks and no balls? been ruined by the shows? scotty
  15. as above come on all the " we are'nt all bad its just bad apples " brigade!! ?? bur the c**ts wipe them out before they breed again. the dogs are bound to be gone from there and the filth wont go and look any way as we all know they are above the law. scotty

  20. what was the percentage of deer hound in the old style coursing dogs? i've always heard the coursing dogs of old before the salukis were deerhound x greys but how much each way or were they "a line" so to speak? cheers scotty
  21. mine are always with me in the house in the van at work etc.you get to know them better and bond stronger.they dont get in the way when indoors unless you live in a bed sit!! if you want the sofa tell them to get off? if they are indoors you can stop them getting nicked and they can warn you of scum trying to get in. i know a keeper that has always kept labs and springers out doors untill one got nicked (he has to of each) he always siad it made them better in hard weather and made them keener to work for ya,now says its like have ing new dogs! they seem to know what he wants them to do befo
  22. Yes mate, there are sheep dogs here that are to hard and are used for bullocks, and also cow dogs that are to soft and can only be used for sheep. This is one reason why the collie bred lurcher is so hit and miss.. The 3 main reasons collies are used in out crosses for lurchers are stamina, brains and coat....and the reason there are so many "hit and miss" with this x is the majority of the owners either dont use them to their full potential or ruin them by entering incorrectly Maybe your right mate, but i have also seen very good collie types that would be very hard to bea
  23. if you cant do the time!!! learn to drive! scotty
  24. any body know of a breeder in the edenbridge area? i have a rescue and the woman i got him from said she got him as a pup from that area as a mate likes him and would like something similar thought some one maybe knows any one that way?? scotty
  25. what have they said the reason is for taking them? if they suspect he's after the big stuff it aint unusual for them to be put down before court date!! demand to see them and make a lot of noise in person and keep doing it every day untill they show you proof they are alive and well. scotty
