  1. ahhh so you'd reccomend a gas bottle rather than a pump then? its just the attraction of saving money with the logun i guess, maybee i shouldnt be so tight! good advice, thanks!
  2. Hi all im buying my first precharged hopefully before xmas and if found 2 second hand rifles (there mainly going to be used for shooting rabbits); 1. An air arms s410 which includes scope mounts and sound surpressor - £400 2. A logun Axsor (8 shot) which includes same package but with a charging pump aswell - £495 Does anyone have an opinion on the quality of the rifles as well as the prices of the packages? which one would you go for basically? im like a kid in a candy shop i love it ! any help would be great, mike.
  3. cool, definatley interested, where abouts are you, would you be willing to send it to my local gun smith if your the otherside of the country ?
  4. Heres just a couple of pictures from my last lamping trip for a few weeks as i broke my foot the next day and cant get our to shoot! i feel sorry for any little tree rats or pigeons that land in my garden i tell ya !
  5. Yeh might well do actually i havent tried it myself ive just sort of excepted it as a draw back , l et me know how you get on i might have to give it a go if it works.
  6. nice shooting bud! im impressed your topping all those furry lil critters with no scope must be a pretty savage shot, bet rats love the pooch food! happy shooting from across the pond
  7. nice one glad you told me before i blew a tenna on what sound like a tin of lemons shame i rekon if they were accurate they would blow the fudge outta some lil beastie's !
  8. what about this one http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...showtopic=34592 ahh would be perfect if it was a .22 id snap it up! cheers for the spot though!
  9. cheers for the advice guys, im going for the s410 i think even if i cant get it that cheap i might have to just treat myself !
  10. is harborough anywhere near hertfordshire? would gladly travel if its anywhere near i shoot with 3 other guys but could just come alone if you prefere, i never pass up a chance to take a few bunnies!
  11. sounds nice mate! what id suggest is get yourself a little corner of the yard and one of them million candle power torches from B&Q , somewhere you have got a good view of then start baiting it every night with whatever you can find that rats will love to eat, let them get used to it a a source of food then youll be ready and know where they are (plus ther stupid things driven by food so theyl keep coming back for more) ! keep up the good work!
  12. ive had a XS19 for about 6 months now its a good wuality rifle for the price ive bagged tonnes of rabbits accuratley as you can see this head shot was from about 30 yards with the 19 very very good rifle for the money, only thing that i would comment on is the recoil which is relatively high but not majorly of putting. happy hunting!
  13. Has anyone ever shot with these pellets the look mean but just wanted an opinion from some proper hunters! cheers in advance
  14. hallo mate, i had same problem zeroing initially but what ive found is if your going to be shooting down to the bottom of your garden - staple a blank sheet of a4 paper to the front of a phone book and put it down the end of the garden where they are that way you get the perfect distance, shoot at it from your house nail 3 shots into it from a rested comfortable position where theres no way it can move around I RECOMEND USING A BEAN BAG OR A SMALL BAG OF SAND UNDER YOUR RIFLE AND SQUEEZING THE SIDES TO ELEVATE THE BARREL and adjust once you know how its pulling. So have you had any joy
