I've hunted in New Mexico for over 30 years. My uncle said it's ok to hunt rabbits any time but should only eat rabbits in months ending in R. He said eating them in summer could make you sick plus the meat tasted bad in the the summer. We always hunted deer in November n if we had a chance to take a rabbit we ate it that nite. I miss my uncle Manny Aguilar n my cousin Manny Jr. some of the best memories of my life. Respectfully Gilbert Aguilar
