Yes, LDL can get through due to damage of the endothelium, but they also get through due to transcytosis. The endothelium can be damaged by diabetes, high blood pressure, smoking, obesity, inflammation, etc.

Incorrect, high LDL levels means some particles slips through small pores in your endothelium, once they become oxidised they trigger an inflammatory response.

It was about £1700 quid in the end because believe it or not they didn't do any X-Rays, they did a few ultrasounds on him because of some internal bleeding but they didn't suspect any broken bones from the rub down they gave him. I never saw the van hit him, our lass and a bystander did, I was a field away and by the time I got there he was staggering about on the roadside. I rushed him to the vets because I feared massive internal bleeding and shock. He was beat up for a good few days, walking like an old man bless him. Never once cried in pain though, he was as good as gold.

You are talking about umbrella companies, they not only charge you admin fees, you also pay two lots of national insurance. I've been told, if you see a job on umbrella, deduct about 14% straight off the rate and that's about what your true rate is.

I don't pass dogs on, don't take things to heart, why would I want to get rid of the dog, he's the family dog, he's 5 years old now, not two. I didn't buy the thing to hunt with it, are you for real? If I really wanted a lurcher I'd get one. He's very fortunate to be alive, to get hit by a van going 50mph and come away with no known broken bones or anything is very lucky, still cost me almost 2k for a few days in the vet.

Here you go @Bangersanmash, this is up Grassington over 20 years ago, she was a great rabbiting dog but couldn't live with my 3/4 collie x greyhound on hares. When I have a lurcher I actually work them! Lol

To be classed as hunting dogs they have to be able to hunt! You have a lurcher that's dying from rigor mortis because the poor cnuts never been slipped on owt and you call your terrier proper game because it works a bit of cover. The only hunting you've ever done is for the fluff that gathers in that gret big belly button of yours!

At a guess I'd say some breeders preserved the older type which were leggier and bred for performance?

I'm not sure about that mate, more likely some men kept more athletic and capable dogs that were closer representatives to the pit dogs of old. Let's not forget that even dogs down from KC dogs were still matched over here in Britain & Ireland. The KC Staff was officially recognised in the mid 30's I believe, the APBT didn't explode over here until the 80's.

Best thing to do if your dog is running a hare or deer and you get busted by a tree hugger walking their fur baby is to run around screaming in hysterics and pretend you're as horrified as them, chances are they won't report you.
