It's gutting when it dawns on you that the hare is going to get away. What happened in the end, did it make it to cover?

It's funny but there will likely be something to it. You'd think they would be at their worst after a belly full of snap but I'm sure nature has already figured that, they probably lightly graze all day so they are primed to escape any potential predators, etc.

They were in a field or two pal, strange one. It doesn't say much at the end of the day, it may have been an older hare that was close to meeting it's maker. It's funny that we never consider things like that, age, condition, I bet there's some science on when a hare is at it's peak during certain times of the day, etc.

I've seen a 3/4 hare run better than a full grown hare local, my dog caught both but the leveret was harder to catch.

I think now they have seen mC out walking with a whippet the rural officers are fearing that hares might actually be getting killed for once. Lol

Attitudes and cultures can change as is evident throughout our history. Outlawing first cousin marriages would make a strong statement and would be a healthy dose of cultural enlightenment.

There was a time over here when it was commonplace, in fact the Royal Family made a dynasty through inbreeding. Surely the sharp fall of first cousin marriages in the Paki community is a positive sign? It would be wise to criminalize first cousin marriages, that would be another positive step.

I'm not talking about Pakistan, I'm talking about the Pakistani community in the UK. I've read that first cousin marriages over here have dropped massively.

If it was 20% that would be 20% too many. But it's funny how things like this were seen as the norm over here at some point. It just shows that nothing is set in stone, cultures can change.

And rightly so, why it is legal escapes me. I'm sure it was a lot more prevalent in years gone by. A quick Google search says first cousin marriages in the Pakistani community is falling sharply.
