    hi phil hope your take away was not from the chinese in The Avenue ! if it was I bet you;ll have the two bob bits(sh*ts) in the morning "who knows what i just had" cat is my guess don;t see many in your neck of the woods/mice droppings in the rice extra?     Hi ZZW yes mate must agree with you great trap! but sorry ;do not think that they are out of square as such! every thing in the factory has to be aliegned up (jigs/ fixtures/etc) to within .001 m/m to aid production but I have always thought that the wieght distributation has been lop sided to the right hand side as you look at the trap! I see that you are trapping in peoples loft;s have you tried placing a piece of marine ply across the rafters to help staberlize the trap? (not trying to teaching my gran to suck eggs) if it still tilts try a bun gee~cord? also you have not had to brake hard

    Hi Tawny you really have opened a can of worms here now!!!!! Q 1~ I think that you might be correct! different states in the U S A have different laws bearing in mind that a single state is the size of the U.K maybe D.S can throw some light on this matter? Q2 leg hold traps were banned in this country in 1958~ginn traps [somebody correct me if I;m wrong on the year] nearly every trap in this country has to be covered with a tunnel/cubbie of some sort! it;s like being a one legged man in an a*&e kicking competion with your hands being tied behind your back due to all the red tape no matter

    Hi lads do not mean to put the cat amongst the pigeons! but I have taken 15 squirrell;s out of a church roof in the middle of Brighton city centre! you can hardly call that a woodland I personally think that there is no hard and fast rules about squirrell;s I think that it;s down to successful breeding / food available /predadation etc they never fail to amaze me where they turn up!!! best regards Steve

    Hi D.S good site that Trapperman! adjusted my B.G dogs today so that they fire off quicker and are more sensitive ;loved the weasel box only if we could use some of thier traps here! learning all the time even at my age!Thanks D.S for your help about U.S game bags last nite ; have a great xmas best regards Steve

    Hi dose anyone know where i can buy a decent game bag? must be able to hold 50 purse nets + then next day be able to carry trapping equipment etc ? I do not need one with those silly nets on the side & must be made out of strong canvas!some thing like the old postman;s bag; this bag has got to be a real work~horse I know this sounds a tall order but i;m fed up with buying bags that do not last 5 minutes also must have a good strong strap i have trawled the inter~net with no sucess! any info will greatly be appriecated many thanks Steve

    It looks like a version of what the yanks calla bucket cubbie type in WWW.TRAPS4KIDS.COM don;t be put of by the title! have a look at the main page & you will see what Imean if you look at the left hand side of the page you;ll see a block titled trapping info click on the various topic;s [blind setts /trap sizes/wire~cable etc] I agree with D.S it;s just waiting to catch some one;s dog/cat even on this Americian site they say do not set it near domestic animals i hope this little input has been of some help lads best regards Steve

    Hi Mole Trapper no you have not p me off I like a good honest /civil discussion I think you have a point if you have a look at thier site they are now protecting thier traps with a product called Delta Protekt 100"zinc plating" they must have had a feed back about thier traps! obviously you work your traps harder than me on average I do 2/3 mole jobs a week in private gardens only! I think that me & the rest of the lads on this site were trying to do was to save Giro wasting his money on buying rubbish traps i:e Big Cheese as a matter of intrest where do you buy your traps? answers o

    hi giro i also buy my traps from the flatpackcompany well made british traps you might also want tolook at this site www.warrenfarm.co.uk they sell a cd.rom on how to set and fine tune aduffus trap they also sell a probe to locate the runs the answer to your question is simply yes! these foriegn traps have weak springs and will not last 5minutes! and badly designed!
