  10. Hi IanB Its strange but i agree with you, we sometimes find an oasis of rabbits in the middle of a desert of Mixy often on land surrounded by a stream or two. Only a suggestion i accept it may not be practical, bloody hate the disease, really knocks sport for six. Ah well. Tight Lines Aled
  11. Jeeeeeeeeeeez Aled, be worth me tramping up there Al I had a chat with the butcher there and this chap with a lurcher brought them up to the Cardiff from Pembrokeshire, don't forget though guys these are what the butcher was selling them for. He probably bought them in at lot less. What i will also say is that waste ground, commomns, and even grassed rounabouts in Cardiff were full of Coney, in far higher concentrations than i saw them at home in Dinefwr! Cheers Aled
  12. Cracking fish in a cracking location. Tight Lines Aled
  13. I was reading this site and was wondering if it would be worth opening a thread on where in the UK mixy is seen during 12 months. i.e. "Mixy Watch" (corny but there you go! ) My idea being those who see mixy in their area could tell others therefore allowing Coney to be left in peace and make a comeback. What do you think? Is it open to too much abuse? Is it pointless? This is only a suggestion, and open for discussion. Tight Lines Al
  14. Frozen rabbits being sold here for £3.50 each, however they are farmed, wild rabbits in Cardiff market caught by lurcher used to go for £3.25 about 2 years ago. Hope this is of interest. Cheers Al
  15. Guys this rain is good for a bit of upland trout fishing? Dig some worms, get your ponchos on and Get yourselves out to some cracking remote locations. Tight Lines Aled
  16. Sounds like a bit of sense there Kurgan. I reckon if a kid has a good hobby its better for them overall. My best mate claims his knowledge of spoken and written English is better because he read Trout & Salmon as a kid. Hope things work out OK mate. Tight Lines Aled
  17. Crikey what a difference. In my primaryand secondary school most of us lads fished a bit, some of us shot (with Dads) some hunted, all us of lived in a rural area, knew where food came from how lamb arrived on your plate, and that foxes killed chickens. I used to talk huntin, shooting, fishin with many school teachers. After living in Cardiff i chose to move back home to live in the area i was brought up. Guys my son is nearly 1 if any of his teachers in this fine rural area of Wales ever talks to him like that i'll be bloody livid! A serious questin though, has his behaviour in school in
  18. I also think he's a little bit mad. He's just given an out and out Veggie the ministerial Job in DEFRA (Hilary Benn) No sympathy at all for this countries meat farmers. Where is the mans sense! Tight Lines Aled

No probs Stabs, it was one of the very few Welsh Language programmes (along with Torri Gwynt, and Yr Awr Fawr!) that many of us school kids watched, despite the fact we hardly spoke any English. Anyway relive your childhood. By the way did you watch in Welsh or with the subtitles on BBC2 (remember meeting some fellow rugger buggers from N Ireland who loved it!) Tight Lines Aled
