The police will abuse whatever power they have, but that doesn't mean a strict campaign against knife crime won't be effective. Earlier you claimed along with me that people should get a ten year sentence for carrying an illegal knife with no good reason, I then get bombarded with several scenarios, all that are fair, which makes It basically impossible to police. So, with that out of the question what else are we left with?

Sssshhh, what rubbish, nothing to do with poverty and gang culture, it's everything to do with 3rd world people behaving like 3rd world people, it's in their DNA to carry a knife and stab someone! And you can fcuk off with stop & search, unless it's for a darkie then I'm all for it! But your knife isn't illegal is it? I should have clarified earlier that I meant illegal weapons. Of course a few have got a little excited and believe I meant all people should be given ten year blanket ban when they haven't done anything wrong.

Yes, I want a blanket ten for people carrying with intent but seeing as that is basically impossible to police then it's just wishful thinking on my part. But here's the thing, if you knew the implications of carrying your precious knife wherever you go, that knife would be kept at home, I know you might get upset, kick the cat and vent on here, but the knife would stay on the barge rather than risk ten year. Lol But, if you don't think we should have more restrictions, harsher sentences, etc, fine, but stop posting boring news about it when someone is stabbed, that ain't going to change

No, stop being silky. As I said, there's a difference between carrying a knife with the intention to cause harm and for innocent tasks. Of course nobody should get arrested if they have done nothing wrong. How often do folk innocently carry fcuking knives in city centres, if you do you are in the minority. Of course everything has to be within reason, arresting everyone isn't going to work, but harsher sentences for knife crime in general is a no brainer. You have just said people should be given a minimum of two year for carrying a knife for no good reason.
