I think it's a very fine line between respect and cruelty regarding these matters. Perhaps the government are backing this because they don't want to put the effort or the funding in to treating mental health sufferers?

Because I don't think that the better dog doubled up will be necessarily the better hare dog. So if it's a case of dog against dog, why not just race them?

I still don't get it, yes they find a winner but as anyone knows a dog doesn't always run to its best ability when doubled up. Do they ever run single handed.
