its got to be a fare dog fieldsport to be like are dogs how good are your dogs ....how many hares this season .....????whats the best yer had in the day with your dog this season ..... snoop i know his bitch scarlets and his dog sly have been killing 2s and 3s day time. but sly killed 6/6 on the lamp. there defnatly some fare dogs!

he was a first cross mate his sire was a collie not sure what type. and his dam was an ex trak i dont know any thing about them realy mate all i no is the dog! and he was some dog in his day. if you go on my profile and look at the night out rabbiting with walksatnight. his dog the black rough coated dog is out of the dog in question. but he is collie/grey x beddy/grey. i will try and get a pic of him but i dont see the lad much any more. but like i said hes 25inch and strong. hes brindle with a greyhound shape. nice and racey!

a mate of mine has a first x collie grey. but he is 25inches and strong as feck! realy good feet. very very good strike. and fast with it! hes 10 now and sired alot of pups! pre ban the dog would kill hares day and night! and was one of the best roe deer dogs i have ever seen! takeing big numbers! and on rabbits agen was one of the best rabbiting dog i have seen! he also took fox single handed! there was nothing the dog wouldnt have a go at!!!!! if he was put over a good bitch all he askes is a pup as his old dog is getting on and wants to replace him!

IMO it is all down to what type of dog it is! if its a fen plodder then no its not going to kill hares in small field but some fen dogs have been bred with speed as well as stay and they would quite easly kill in the smalest of fields! a mate of mine pre ban had a dog out of caspa that i watched run a hare for 7mins on the fen and i also saw the same dog kill 2/2 hares lockal to me in very small fields! so some wouuld and some wouldnt?????
