  1. Reckon Grims is a cracker, mine's the Aldi version!!! All the R+D as far as the product goes was done though, weight/ compressability (200kpa @10% was plenty) keep the "scoop" low to ensure it is not top heavy (wont roll when/if you have to brake hard) I think mk3 will have to double as light weight seat or rest but I will see how it goes. All the best and happy Christmas to all. Pete.
  2. Plenty strong enough bud, I weigh 17 stone and can stand on it without a problem when it is covered in gaffer tape. It compresses slightly but no breakages. For a fiver, if it lasts me a year or so that will do me fine. Not very good with a saw, more of a wood butcher than a joiner! Thanks for the feed back, appreciate it. Pete.
  3. That's top class fella, a real belter. well done.
  4. It was cut on a cnc hot wire machine (guvvy job!)mate. It was cut as whole then into two halves. it could be made to stand up but shutting your boot lid lid may prove to be a tad tricky if one were to try it that way. I have seen the other material you are talking about, it is expanding gap filler type foam, you are right, it may work but it might get a bit messy. Cheers, Pete.
  5. Cheers for that mad al, I asked in the local dive shop to see how they did it, the reply was, "they dont move about much when they are made up into full dive sets!" a big help that was so lets see how other folk do it . This is mk2 but I know with a luggage/ratchet strap over it it is well secure.
  6. Just in case this is of use to any one, I thought I would share this. Fed up with wedging my wellies or what ever else I could find to stop the bottle moving about in the boot of the car I came up with this idea. It has cost me just over a fiver so far. It is expanded polystyrene cut to shape. I have some general purpose spray adhesive that does not attack the polystyrene so I am going to fix some cheap fabric to it so it is harder wearing, even gaffer tape would do , I think! How do you guys transport your bottles??
  7. Just working on a supply contract at the moment and they have offered to throw in a trip with these fellas. http://www.gama-lov.hr/ I don't know anything about them but it may be worth a look!

  15. When you can put just about all your shots in 1 inch group regardless of the range, then have a crack at a bunny at that range! A .22 at 12ft/lb will have plenty enough power/energy left at 30-35 yds to do the job humanely but accuracy is the key and much beyond that range with a springer and you are risking wounding the bunny.
  16. That's spot on Martin, well done fella, keep your chin up and as said PMA! and all will come right. The shooting is still on the button by the looks of things and you'll be driving again in no time. All the best, Pete.
  17. Maintainence is indeed the key. Correct lubricant, good seals etc- old leather main seals used to cause problems. With regards the fac springers the principle is the same as a standard sub 12ft/lb airgun. In my opinion and from my experience if a pellet is completely jammed in the breach or barrel then you have the effect of having the accelerating piston creating a buffer of air that will cause piston bounce when no air escapes at the crucial moment BUT if one particlar brand of pellet is heavier or tighter than another but enough pressure is created to get it moving up the "spout" and provid
  18. You have me thinking twice now! lol.. Could it be that the issue I'm referring to, is more common in FAC springers? I checked with a few fellow air-gunners and all confirmed the same. Heavy or Loose pellets are bad news for springers. To counter the condition of the seals, the better the seal, the more resistance the piston gets when pushing out a heavy pellet. So it aggravates things! This, I wholeheartedly agree to. But none of the problems mentioned, happen overnight. Continual use of heavy/light pellets cause problems. Thats the whole discussion! lol.. Hi Mo' I think
  19. Yep, I think I would have to agree with all of that! All my stalking is paid for (as I am not lucky enough to have my own permission yet) and to date I have yet to see a stalker/guide happy to allow anyone, yet alone a bairn to be moving behind them with the muzzle pointing in the right direction to give him a spare rusty bullet-hole! (3mins-25secs),then encourage him to take shot at a moving beast resulting in a poor shot to the none critical area. Second shot aside, the footage as a whole does hunting no favours at all.
  20. Good shot ! what range did you take that at? I do appreciate good fieldcraft but there is no doubt about it, that is great marksmanship and a lovely looking bit of land you have to shoot over. Well done. Regards, Pete.
  21. yerr it is an mk1 stock isnt it its a mk 1 stock an action woops, corrected! thanks for pointing out the slip-up. Blaev, you have a PM, Pete.
  22. Well done matey, As previously said a good shot at 160yds and a good selective cull.
  23. I bet that was some outing mate, well done. Did you get some of the meat sent back home?
  24. Just had my rapid 7 silencer returned from Jon. It was a bit tatty to say the least but then it is many years old. I should really have done a before and after but never mind, here's a picture of it now that its had a full re-finish with a two part spray applied finish, sterling job Jon, thanks a lot. Regards, Pete.
  25. Great post and good shooting bud. 3 at a time now eh, I could call you a show off but I wont because I'm just jealous ! well done and shame about the numpty trying to spoil it. Pitty you couldn't get a snap of his boat race to post up.
