  1. Just come back from a great night out with parker my whippetxjrt, Really please with how he is coming on. The nights performance consisted of back flips, front flips, high speed action and a good bit of bush diving (and we all love that!) Came back with 3 bunnies and lamp with no more battery life in it!
  2. Here's my jack russel x whippet, 21 inches tts. Works very well, catches rabbits day and night, is very game and very easy to train
  3. Here is my border x lakie (i think!) he's about a year now, and i decided to give stripping a go, never owned a terrier before let alone stripped one so he;s my before and afters took me a couple of hours just using finger and thumb. havent done his under-carriage yet!
  4. Just got back from a little bit of lamping. Parker had a couple of runs, the first 3 were close but the rabbits are fast and know all about the lamp! last run was fab, he turned it out of fence line and got it! i was very pleased with him, he bought it back live, straight away and only let go when i had a good hold of it.
  5. I can see where you're coming from, I sometimes wonder what makes me go out late at night, get soaking wet get told off by my fiance for walking to fast or to slow, or for being dragged around by my insane hound, but when you get to slip your dog on a rabbit and watch the chase nothing else matters, I was out the other night walking around in mud up to my knees, horse-shit and i was soaking wet, and had been told not to wear my waterproofs as i would make too much noise, but Parker had a really good run corsing a bunny around the field for what seemed like ages! I take my dogs out during th

  7. I have a jrtxwhippet and he's 15months old. He is very very whiney. he is taken on long regular walks and is always very tired after these walks. He is worked regularly on the lamp. He whines when he isn't comfortable, ie no bed around. he whines when he isnt getting any attention. I take him to the horse yard with me where i work, and he's really good when i am putting the horses out and follows me for a little walk, but when i am mucking he wanders around whining. He will whine when i'm there and when i am absent. he whines at night time sometimes but is not so bad with that now. At the m

  15. But how long does it take your dogs after a hours walk where they have been running a lot. Its just a general question, i'm not looking for anyone to tell me how long my dog should take, i just want to know what breed and how long it takes till their breathing is back to normal?
  16. How long does it take for your lurchers to return back to normal breathing rates after running?? I have a lurcher (not sure of breeding, grey whippet bull saluki we think) who takes a lot longer than my JRT x Whippet after running the same time, she is exercised alot same as the JrT whippet.

We're all sat around chatting about stuff, and all of a sudden my partner says 'thats a fox' we've looked around and seen a little mangy looking fox cub standing in the doorway, face to face with our lurcher who was lying in her bed!!!! The fox has realised where he is and just turned around and walked away!!!!
