  1. I have been very lucky, and I actually work part time at a local estate with a GameKeeper. He teaches me first hand what to do and all about Keepering. Im only 14, but dont go to School. So spend 3days up the estate. He has actually advised me not to go to College.. And I would much rather learn GameKeeping the good old traditional way, from an older experienced person. Just Remember.. While looking through Shooting Times or any other Shoot mag.. Look at the Job Ads. All the Keepering Jobs ask for EXPERIENCE over college courses. But that depends on whether you are luck
  2. Hey there, have just had to put down another one of my ferrets this morning due to it going ferral. This is the second I have had to knock on the head. Both these ferrets have been rescue ones, I recon that been the problem, 'cos my other 3 that i got from Kits are perfect, and very easy to handle. Lovely things and great workers. So I was just wondering, has anyone else had any ferrals ? Cheers.
  3. Sounds like a good idea. I would rather send stuff to our hospitals, then to Africa. haha.
  4. haha You might be there along time if you planning on shooting them ! Have you been to SCATS? They sell good traps, all different kinds, and they could probably advise you on exactly which trap is best. Just a thought.

  17. Beating is great fun and would reccomend it to anyone.. As long as you do as you are told on the beating line. haha But expect to be shouted at, at least once ! I beat on a large commercial Partridge/Pheasant Shoot. Get paid £10-£20. Hard work but very rewarding at the end of the day. I do know of a "Professional Beater", who beats 6days a week ! Not much of a income he makes.. But good luck to him.
  18. It was quite good actually haha. They lived right next to a busy motorway though.. But I did love the look on that townies face when a rabbit was chucked at her. Good old Channel4 !
