I'm selling my nearly new Meindl Dovre Extreme GTX boots on that ebxy site (selling as ianj05), I have genuinely only used these boots a couple of times and they are in excellent condition for anyone looking for some decent shooting/ beating/ stalking/ hiking boots on here. They have been well looked after as on both occasions that they have been worn I have washed them then waxed and waterproofed them with meindl own brand wax etc. Cheers Ian

Just posting a pic of a good buck me and a friend of mine took one evening. He went down instantly with a frount end heart shot at 75 yards, taken with a 180 grain 30-06 (very humane for all the fluffly animal lovers out there). The buck was a bonus as it was nice to just be outdoors enjoying a bit of the summer sunshine!

I havent any experience of sh.shooting but have heard mixed reports from people

Just got a quote for some bf goodrich mud terrain tyres from my local tyre fitter £140 -£150 each , my have to get some cheaper make now!

Cheers for all the replies fella's, yeah the shot was at 15 yards. I walked up along a field edge to some woodland, then I sat down for a while behind a fallen tree, 20 mins thereafter a Roe Buck slowly came out to around 15-18 yards and started walking into the wheat field, so i stopped him for a moment by clicking my tongue and that was the end of him shall we say. There wasnt as much damage as I thought there would have been (bullet used was a remmy core lock-d soft point .30-06), heart and lungs were vaporised but that was about it, liver and kidneys were fine so they were had for breakky

I havent really posted much on the forum, but just wanted to share my outings with a few. Got myself settled down in the corner of a field over looking a wheat field and 15 mins later this chap pops out of the woodland. He was taken with a .30-06 at 15 yards remmy core lokt, lung shot but went down instantly and he's now in my freezer p.s Hello to all the deer stalkers on here

.30-06 for me, I love it everything from mouse to moose

Exhaust and service costs? help needed please
hawk eye replied to hawk eye's topic in 4x4's, Quads & ATV's
is that 2-400 for both the exhaust and service. I thought for the exhaust you'd be looking at 300 and 200 for the service! cheers for the comments -
Ive just got my first 4x4 a year ago (2001 isuzu pick-up 3.1td) and it needs a new exhaust and a proper service ideally. Can anyone shed some light on how much these would cost, just as a bit of a guide? Ive changed the oil and filter a couple months ago but it needs a bit more of a proper service. Thanks for any advice

Does anyone have any experience of the isuzu tf range of pick ups as someone i know is selling a tf crewcab 3.1 td with 65,000 on it. just want it as a general run around and as a shooting vehicle? thanks for any comments

A fellow gun club member has asked me to put a notice up on huntinglife for the sale of his night vision scope he uses for a bit of rabbit and fox control. By all accounts its a very good night sight and i have personally looked through it and can say the image is supurb and foxes could be taken at 200 yars plus with this considering the high magnigication which is rare on nv scopes! Its on ebay with no reserve, Item number: 1802662208541 Thanks all for looking

I'm looking at getting a cheapish 4x4 (for £2-3k) for a general run around and want something that will tackle muddy fields, step banks and the odd plouged field. first options are toyota hilux or a defender but the cherokee looks like a cheap option as you can pick these up for around the £1500 mark 1998, 2.5 petrol. whats your opinions? cheers
