a question for the people who are into this,ive seen in some of the photos of dogs straining /up on hind legs raring to go. what are these dogs like in the field if something blows across in front of them.do they ignore it and concentrate on rabbits etc or do they chase anything that moves.

i built a garage 35 x15 for£400 got most of materials for nowt .also built another outbuilding 40 x20 this cost me £2000 for materials one end was made into a livable room .ididnt have labour costs .

have never sold them,done some trade or give them to anybody that wants one.a mate used to sell them to a butcher they had only to be gutted so the butcher knew for certain they didnt have myxi as it was everywhere at the time.after a while he asked for them to be skinned bad move .in the end it went tits up when a body was found in the freezer.

havent got anything against saluki x what iam on about is its not all small fields up here .had a dog i could take anywhere and was never let down.

iam a bit confused your mates have got good dogs but they can only catch in certain areas. i have one of these dogs your talking about mate. An allrounder. Yet an alleounder is still far better on what it knows then what it doesnt.... come on mate. back to the start what i said was a good dog will catch anywhere .i dont see whats so hard to grasp about that,you seem to have turned this into some sort of debate about your mates dogs .it wasnt about there limatations where they can run.

not nessesarrally! it was a good question, and you just gave an answer that anybody could have said, which isnt even true!! In fact it is total bollocks.... you bring an out and out fen dog(running 3 in 3) to my neck of the woods mate, and it would do nothing apart from break its legs!! You take a small field hare dog down there, and it will be made to look a little bit worse for wear!! I am not saying it wouldnt catch on the big open fields but it wouldnt excel.... I have such a dog that runs the opens of southport, the moors of lancs, and the small fields of the north... I wo

a good dog will catcth anywhere .there is small fields up here, but theres also fields where the fence is on the horizon.
