    did the ticks suddenly appear after coursing was banned.i must be lucky ive never seen a tick on a whitey yet. Another constructive comment for the thread Nothing to do with coursing being banned. You may not have been in an area that has a heavy tick problem.     wasnt born untill 79 mate so i carnt remember it on the telly, never heard of it before to be honest... was it good coverage or just a few runs? i think it was itv,showed highlights etc .certain it was a sat afternoon they showed it.

    a few year ago we had a bet well into the thousands and one of the lads had a fare bit in tick as well,needless to say it didnt get beat, it got f****n destoyed.when i took the dog back to the kennels the trainers wife was at the tally van.she was shouting over how did we do ,this was for so the other customers could here .it was almost worth losing just to see the look on her face when i told her.

    You sound like a typical shooter. Took it up because you watched an Arnie film once. I shoot, hunt and fish, however shooting driven hares is easier than shooting rabbits with a rimfire. Rather be with the dogs, spend your life with them feeding, training and getting them fit and watching them work, while with a gun, you use it and put it away for next time.
