  1. Good post Liam, I think time to ground is a much better thing to aim for than number of digs.
  2. ??I forgot to mention the Gypsy saying his Dad would sleep with his pup for a week lol. More like he went on a bender for a week and returned with a pup and that was his feeble excuse lmao.
  3. Hows Scouser bred Davo? Is there a lot of Saluki in him?
  4. I like the bit on the Caithness documentary where he is saying about the dangers of Weils disease from rats, and the interviewer asks him if he knows anyone that's died from it, after an awkward silence he says 'Yes, 3 close friends, ??can tell from the look on his face he doesn't even believe the lie he's telling himself. Gave me a chuckle.
  5. I'm not having that Dilly, yours are as sensible as they come (usually)?.
  6. Maybe they've had no discipline then.
  7. My terriers are and always have been quiet when tied on a dig FD, that is a real pet hate I have, dogs that are wild in their boxes and wild chained up have usually had very little socialisation.
  8. Finally some sense being talked. "Believe half of what you see and nothing of what you hear", rings true every time.
  9. They should self enter of course, but having a pup or two coupled up to take in a days events-smells, sounds, shovels, gun etc etc is all part of a valuable education for them IMO.
  10. I'd imagine a lot of dogs that are classed as good workers nowadays wouldn't last long without locators. However, I'd say doubling up dogs pre-locator days was a common practise to get a job done.
  11. Lovely pup that Socks, can see you've put the time and effort into her to be so switched on at such a young age. Fair play.
  12. What an egotistical, full of himself gobshite.
  13. It's the case for almost every lad that is out regular during the season. One good day and you're wondering what you're going to dig the week after.?
  14. Agree with that Ziggy, it's a ballache having too many dogs over the Summer and thinking you're overstocked, but once the season comes around I always find myself wishing I had more.
  15. Some chest on Bear, going to be a fair old lump I'd say.
  16. Every single person you ask will give a different answer, all depends on dogs working style, amount of land you've got to hunt and how much time you have to be out per week.
  17. Great looking pups Fuji, a real credit to you, next time you breed a litter I'll take one of them black and tans?
  18. I was thinking the same. Either way..Glad you got her back.
  19. Good news. Do you reckon she wasn't stolen then?
  20. Sorry to hear that Phil. That second photo wants framing, what a pic!
