A mate of mine used a lamb ring years ago on his dog and the dog didn’t show any discomfort, once the tail dropped off there was no problems from the docked tail thereafter.

Bit of a difference though DS, that’s like saying chopping a newborn babies finger off is the same as docking a pup.

I meant are they digging terriers or hunt type terriers mate, don’t see many (I haven’t seen any!) white digging terriers. Good to know they’re about?

They’re all different animals, some educated ones will take the fight to the dog from the off and constantly be hitting the dog as soon as the digging starts, whereas some don’t want to know and will kick up a wall and curl up while the dog bays away at them. It also depends a lot on the time of year you’re out, you might meet a much more docile animal in September than say in December.

Was just reading about this in the paper. Although I love the romanticism of big cats roaming our Countryside, it seems very pie in the sky and a bit like the Loch Ness monster to me, every man and his dog owns a camera phone now, surely they’d have took a credible photo of one by now. I mean look at this photo on the BBC news, it’s quite clearly an average black house cat.

I don’t get what you mean? Every time I’ve shaved my dogs coats they’ve grown back exactly how they were before I shaved them, what’s wrong about that? I don’t know best at all, I’m just saying what I’ve seen on my own dogs. And regarding the rest of the stuff to keeping dogs fit and healthy, mine don’t get no half measures either, that’s for certain.

I’d say it’s more of a show thing without a doubt, every time I’ve shaved the dogs the hair has always come back exactly how it was to begin with?

Just to add, it’s not just the juice but also the fake life they like to lead. Driving round in flash motors on tic while they’re still living at home with their parents and not a penny to scratch their arses with. Anything for a like on FB??

I’ve heard that before STR but is it true or an old wives tale? I can’t understand how the cutting of the hair could alter how it grows?
