  1. That’s what I was getting at further back Glyn, if there was more on offer such as cups, books, badges, hoodies whatever, it would attract a lot more attention.??
  2. I think the terrier clubs would attract a lot more interest if, for example, every year each member received a badge and a small yearbook or something similar. I’m sure lads would be willing to pay £20 or whatever to be part of something like that. Rather than pay money for an annual piss up in the middle of nowhere and the use of terrier rescue that they’ll never use nowadays?
  3. I think terrierwork in general is on a downward spiral, a lot have left the game and none of the younger generation have replaced them. Also in regards to terrier clubs, the notion of meeting once a month for a few pints and a catch up is long gone, everyone and everything is so easily accessible these days that the romance of it seems to have disappeared. Hope I’m wrong mind.
  4. You’re getting a dab hand at it now Socks??
  5. Tell me about it?, I’m sure we’re all itching!
  6. That’s what it’s all about Glyn, hopefully they do what you expect.
  7. 1. City 2. Spurs 3. Liverpool 4. Leicester Unsure about UTD, Chelsea and Arsenal with new managers etc. Brendan Rodgers is a good manager, knows the league well and has made some good signings, I fancy Leicester to surprise a few. City are just too strong in every position IMO.
  8. 99% of the lads that are at the terrier and lurcher game in their teens soon lose interest and move on in life, but for some it is a way of life and no other life will do! I’m not sure what it is that grips hold, but it must be from deep within the ‘hunting’ gene still being strong. My Mam always says if she knew how deep I’d get myself with dogs she would have never let me have one as a kid ? But at the same time, most of the lads I grew up with have gotten themselves onto a different and wrong path, so maybe being out in the fields ain’t such a bad thing?
  9. It’s gone mad that’s for certain??
  10. That’s fair enough. But the problem is they’re sold for big bucks as the next best thing, when in reality they’re not, but because the new owners have paid big money for them they want to recoup it in some way, so they breed from the crap and so the cycle continues.
  11. A peddlers dream, sold onto the naive in Britain thinking they’re getting something better than is already here. ?
  12. Corn on the cob wouldn’t be any good ?
  13. The lunatics have taken over the asylum, that’s for certain.
  14. I agree Joe, it needs to be licensed in some way as every Tom, Dick and Harry is just going out and shooting whatever they fancy. It’s a total disgrace. I know one lad that went out and shot 70 hares in one night because he’d seen lads coursing on the land the day before, it’s out of hand.
  15. Take a flask and a couple of butties?
  16. That is true, the foxes are taking the worst hammering unfortunately ?
