    I know its a little of the mark but,when i kept ferrets as a kid,I always loved polecats rather than albinos.They never worked any better or worse,but it was my preferance.I supose my point is that you can have different colours of workers and different colours of failures.Just my view.clachan

    How many people out there are fed up of putting posts up that are ruined by so called fellow hunters?Or in the same breath are holding back from posting because of this.I read posts daily (interesting posts)That people slag/slate or put down.In time i think members will stop sharing experiences,memories and pic ect.We are all in the same boat and with enough enemies out there we should all stick together.Im mainly on the terrier site,So i hope i dont offend anyone on other posts.clachan

    Its all about reading your dog.I wouldnt keep any of my dogs that i keep at the moment in for an hour without getting a mark and digging.But 10 years ago that would be normal practice.Fact.A keeper mite have 50 dens to check in a season,+a week to do so.He (i)needed a terrier or terriers to do the job.Not a dog that would get f****d up on the first day. But like i said before I like a dig before a bolt.And anyone that knows me knows that.clachan Fair enough clachan,honest answer.

    When they come away after half an hour they are jackers end of no excuses,what addition would they be say if you were 3ft down on a 6ft dig to find the dog behind you on the sod.People that keep that sort of dog,well thats there buisness,but if they breed these and then sell them on as workers then its a different ball game,more shite been knocked about.A terrier that walkes of a fox after 20..30min is in my opinion not worth its grub. I have worked terriers for 15 year now.The terriers i kept 10 years ago were different dogs than i keep today.I was a keeper for years and a dog that bayed
