    I totally agree we have a new "generation of fox".We were hunting a spot last year on a fell side that has been kind to us in the past.To say we had wild weather is an under statement.It was cold and extreamly wet for weeks.On the day we set out there was sleet and hale on lower ground,but as we got higher it soon turned to heavy snow.It continued throughout the day and although we found nothing to ground we lifted two foxes from under the brachen.The snow had fell that hard that they were quite at home laying under their ready made igloo.Ive found that over the last 10 years or so,that a vixe

    I, like alot of young lads decided i wanted to be a keeper at a very early age.I did the usual beating and helping around the estate on weekends/holidays ect.so i had a good idea what the job involved.I got a college placement when i left school at Elmwood in Fife.I was only at college for 4x2 week blocks per year.The rest of the time i was on an estate doing work.The course was only 2 years.Once the course was over i stayed on for another year,followed by a season on a rearing field.The work was hard and long and extreamly lonely at times.A normal day would start around 7 and go on till about

    It's worth pointing out that foxing with a terrier for the protection of livestock is very much illegal. You can only bolt/dig fox with a terrier to protect game birds. Everyone should have this straight if ever the authorities turn up when you're on permission. If off permission then you are fecked no matter the reason. if thats the case, how do hunt terreir men go on then He's right enough mate.Game birds and wild birds.Not for the protection of livestock.clachan
