Im wanting to have a go with a catapult just to take along when im mooching through woods etc with the dogs. Where do i start? Had a quick look and didnt realise there was so many set ups out there! Head was fried! Any help would be appreciated!

Match on this morn down your way mate -
Seen nations of dogs get straight lined over the years. I also own a little whippet bitch that is a demon on the rabbits but gets blew to bits on 90% of the winter long eared variety!

Keep him on lead as long as you think necessary but no you dont need to keep him on lead till next season. That would cause problems in its self. Just be sensible. May only be couple week or so to keep him on lead but should beable to gauge that yourself. You will know. Then just steady away

Im with shark on this one aswel mate. Know its a pain in the arse and probs chomping at the bit to get out but do right by ya dog and it will do right by you. Give it time. Wouldnt be even thinking about the toe off option. Just give it time.
-
Think ad leave him off rest of season if i was you mate. Lead walks only for as long as ya can aswel. The less twisting n turning the better for time being. The toe will heal just gotta give it time.

Yes mate free running her now but steady away. Be mostly jogging her out behind the bike for now. When did he get pins taken out?
-
He must be somewhere near now then mate if hes went 4and half ok and then another. ive still got atleast couple week before i will dare give her a slip dont want her pulling summit with being unfit

Now lads. Been given the all clear from the bone man to start getting the bitch back to fitness after injury. Still have to pop back every 3-4 weeks to make sure things are still good but its a start! Poor thing hasnt been off lead for coming up 4weeks. Slowly start getting the miles back in and hopefully catch the end of the season if all goes well! Keep ya fingers crossed for me boys! Haha.

Stubblebubble replied to Whoknows's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Looks like a lump him. Seen many of deer hung up in same way as that but never a fox. -
Champion. In to see stevie duncan again on wednesday then see where we are to see if i can start jogging her up again. Seems like shes pulling round abit but be flat as a fart there now. Not been off lead in 3week
-
When i get this pup put right wouldnt mind giving her a go on them to see where shes at if i could tag a along at some point?
-
Cant go wrong with tracer or ridgemonkey. Both last forever. Can get a few nights lamping out of a charge. And if you using thermal to spot and just using lamp when dogs are running can get many nights out of a charge
-
Yeah ya not wrong mate. Shes had a week doing nowt. Plenty of bone radiol and muscle rub. Then just starting to walk on lead now. Back to bone man a week on sat then see where we are from there. Then also will have to get her fit again before i can run her or will end up pulling summit. Slow process but will get there
-
Hello mate. Yes im using the radiol version. Bone radiol for toe and radiol m-r muscle embrocation on other bits. Twice a day at min.
-
Nah wont be rushing it mate. Its crap but no point getting too keen and f***ing it all together. Back to bone man week on sat n see where we at.
-
Ran one sat then ran 3 on the sunday. Not this weekend the weekend before. Didn't see what happened on the 3rd but came back and could see it wasnt right. Got it out kennel on monday morning n was struggling. Toe was up like a pudding and looked stiff as a board walking like a crab! Took it to bone man after laying it off coz was coming right. Neck out. Back out and a dropped hip. Luckily toe wasnt broke or owt just nail bed gone into toe. Wouldnt care ground was up to ankles. God onows what it done.

Looking like bitch off for around 4weeks right in middle of season. Leader walks only for min of 2weeks. Sickener!!

Front left pad problem ?
Stubblebubble replied to Whispering Whiskey 66's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
It will be fine mate. Get some pad heal on it and keep it clean. Walks on lead only. Be right in 2-3weeks. Dont waste your money at the vets! -
