  1. apparently squirrels get really nasty towards the fert when cornered. I would nver put mine in.
  2. fecking hell!!! Thats a hell of alot for a fert!
  3. isnt there anyway you could talk her into it? I love to go for a day out ferreting with my dad. it seems better than friends or on your own!
  4. that maybe worth a try. thanks for the tips. and will start working on him. The frts have an exercise run and the dog will smell them through it and not try to kill them
  5. I have a 4 yr old jrslx border terrier and I was not sure whether I could break him to the ferts or is he too old? He has never done anything except ratting but I mainly want him broken to them so I can have a bit of fun and see if he can catch rabits lol. Hope someone can help, as I wasnt sure whether to post on here or the dogs section lol!
  6. You not use a dog to mark the occupied burrows ??? Im fairly new to this ferreting thing. How do I tell if a burrow is occupied without a dog. Because they always seem fresh but nothing bolts! I am not allowed a dogbecause my parents say I already have enough pets.
  7. Bit of a silly question lol look at him and take a guess, umm albino. its obvious polecat! I didnt know. and because he didnt have the mask I wasnt sure. most poley kits ive seen have a sign of a mask before there eyes open!
  8. hes looking good. what colour will he turn out?
  9. They can be hard to get hold of when they dont wanna talk! it was obvious that he was ignoring my calls to his mob because the minute i called his house phone h picked up! it was about late delivery!
  10. Is it still for sale as the date is july 2007!
  11. O nononono. I have a couple of hutches to put them in. But always looking for more if any in cornwall area?
  12. I take it that this is sold?
  13. she will get bored with them as pets and want to start getting him in warrens and catching its tea! lol. Where are you getting the fert from?
  14. so would the hutch be ok? I forgot to mention that it will be in a big barn. so all under cover.
  15. I am buying a bird aviary 6ftx6ftx6ft to keep the ferts in. It will have no accomodation in it so I was wondering if I put a 2 or 3 tier hutch in with 1 door open with a ramp would this be ok for the ferts? If i put a cuple of hutches in I may be able to keep upto 10 ferts!
  16. I would say that an exersise run would be good. It can be an attached one or just a run with toys which you can put and take ferrets out of and into when needed. this should be in a sheltered place on slabs or level concrete. Ferrets love to dig and you will have lost them after an hour of putting them in!
  17. I wouldnt kiss it even if it was a belly button!
  18. yes. but sometimes you only have time to pick up and have a quick look before they squeak like f**k and the jill comes and bites off your fingers lol
  19. They are 2 weeks now. And it is fairly obvious lol.the jills have little nipples and no bump. and the boys have a bump and not as obvo=ious nipples
