My friend trains his to a whistle. Everytime he goes to feed them he will keep whisling. this makes the ferrets associate the noise with food and once he put his ferret at one end of the yard and he stood at the other and whisled and he came to him really fast. I have never tried but it may work

I bought a hemp purse net making kit and have been having trouble making them. I can do all of it up until the 3rd row when all the knots start coming apart and the mesh seems to vary insize even though i take time to use the gauge. can someone please help?

Unless you have lots of ground sets, use a stogun or own longnets Id wait until the season comes and the undergrowth has died down. you have from now until then to make some good friends in the sportand you will stand a better chance with getting people to show you the ropes

yeah give her a go through a nice small burry and see how she takes it. put her in with an experienced jill.

good point stubby. also dont tell too many people that youve lost her. (especially farmers) if your ferret goes and eats some farmers chickens where you have good permission. if it comes round to him that it belonged to you you may lose some good permission. try and get into his good books if it happens by waiting for someone to ask you to pick it up lol. it happened to my friend and as the farmer gave him permission he knew that he had ferrets therefore he asked him to go and pick it up. and the word got round that he was a decent guy which got him even more permission lol

you just have to gain trust. try and buy your ferrets from local working homes and keep in touch with the breeder. I have made quite a few ferreting friends from doing that, from 20 to in there 80s. If you get to know someone then they will try and help you, if you can return the favour in some respects

I have seen a spaniel catch the odd rabbit out ferreting (but the rabbits have to run right into the dog lol) but they make quite good marking dogs. I may be wrong as I dont know much about dogs, but a springer and a cocker are almost the same. and My friend has a very nice working cocker spaniel

as I heard from gordan ramsay, The vegetarian option, FUK OFF. lol. the antis minds are filled up with crap. I dont blame them as if what they all say was actually happening (they THINK it is!) then most people would be against it.. When the fuel costs go so high and the veggies and antis are all buying there exotic food and vegetables, we will all be ok and eating home killed meat when all the anti scum are starving because they cant afford there soya and bananas.
