i cant promise any pictures but i will try and take some one day. before that dog they had a blind working collie. he eventually went blind even though he was young but he had had a year or 2 at my uncles farm beforehand and he worked like a fully sighted dog. he would bring the cows in at top speed and would never runinto anything. he would know everything off by heart but eventually he bit my aunty a couple of times and had to be put down. it was a great shame as he was a much loved working dog. RIP woody

haha, just checked out ur profile and it seems your 13. what a coincidence if you are ever 'un-taken' im just a PM away! pmsl
give him a ring, and if it goes well drop it, if not pm stubby and try and be allowed to start a new one. but either way you and him need to sort i out, BETWEEN YOURSELVES! lol
my uncles working collie, pat, is one of the nicest dogs i have ever seen. ive spent many a day out with him and the quad bringing in the dairy and sheep heards. he works single handedly but I dont have any pics to hand
right. Im planning to do a spot of lamping rats tonight with the dog and as I have never tried this can someone give me some pointers on how to actually get the rats. the situation will be a fairly big chicken field with houses and metal feeders for the poultry. usually I just take the dog, lift the houses and catch the rats that are under. but I also know that when its quiet there are loads that hang about eating from the containers on there back legs. would the most efficient way of dealing with them be lamping? because I can not be sure that they will run back into the houses and not out of
nope he tries to eat the poor old ferrets. its a shame really as when he doesnt come out for rats in the evening hes stuck being a 'house dog' all day. he will obviously be too fat to work right now but what sort of size as in height would be the limit for working under ground. I do a bit of ratting but would it be worth getting a smoker for just using one terrier? also is there anybody around bodmin area that works terriers and would be willing to show me the ropes? I may have to get out with the terrier man at the hunt kennels.
i agree that they are treated as disposable. all mine are named. as I think why should a dog be named and not a ferret. they both work, in my opinion there aint no ferreting dog without the ferret! my little sis is always changing there names but i can always tell between them and they are all called something! although my new one is nameless as i cant spot him out between him and another kit i have
i personally only keep poleys aswell, I have 6 poleys at the moment and will increase the amount with poleys not any other colour. I dont know why but if I have the choice I always take the poleys. I dont mind sandies but its just a preference to keep what i keep and I wouldnt turn an albino down but i would never have more than one.
