  1. depends on what your expecting to catch, if its a shit bag expecting dont bother but id normally go unless it is hammering it down
  2. rub vaselene on it. it suffocates and falls off on its own. My uncle is a vet and taught me lol
  3. voted mate its 41 / 59 for me
  4. Dont bother with jbs hes a tosser and sells stuff that aint what its meant to be. I bought a hemp net making kit and i may have been better using wool! costs a bob aswell. Go on thenetloft.net from molecatcher on here. I have never yet heard anyone say anything but good whereas with JBS ive heard more worse than good. Good luck and either hemp or spun nylon, and its bollocks about it only lasting a couple seasons as if you look after it properly it should last as long as your ferrets lol
  5. never had a problem with straw from our farm. Or hay in the winter as its more insulating. In the summer i usually just use woodshavings though. A thick layer on the bottom ( a few inches) is fine
  6. nice wee jills youve got there mate/
  7. when i was about 10, i found a little baby jackdaw, only tiny and fallen out of nest. So i got a rabbit hutch and kept it in and fed it chunks of cat food till it was old enough. then it ate without help. let it go and always used to come back to me. but it must have been shot or something because once it never came back lol
  8. all my mates have pretty top class jills. never seen many shite ones TBH. but each to thier own

I bought a loactor and collars and nets recently from somewhere in Newton Ayecliff. I am annoyed as it was top quality kit and i lost his number so i couldnt thank him for it. So if anyone here knows of the guy, or is the guy, then top stuff mate and sorry for not getting back. It was posted to cornwall BTW, sorry a bit off subject
  10. a bit sexist isnt mate haha well done anyways

ca you fit the second one to a ferret court john, it looks withing my buget really
  12. how about that price, you pay postage. I may not be able to afford though lol
  13. TBH we just use the locators for locating, and only if we have to, dig. I have been working a strain of ferrets that are good with killing and leaving. so we obviously leave a couple in the burrow but it doesnt really matter unless its slowing the day down
  14. nice catty there, would you sell it privately as i cant do ebay
  15. ite a dutch cross mate haha. Pretty looking animal, bet it tasted nice

  18. mk1 is the dogs bollox. IMO the rest are just total bollox
  19. would ya be interested in that 100 yard longnet thing i got
  20. ok mate. would you go any lower,
  21. I have only used bells whilst working cover, useful as you can always tell where the ferret is. The advantage is its easier to find a ferret, this disadvantage is it could get caught on something. I know of people using them whilst working to ground, apparently its useless as it gets clogged up really really easy.
  22. it could of met a rat or stoat or something below ground, RIP enda
  23. Yes I suppose steve. We could find out but TBH the ferreting off the moor is almost impossible here, alot are in cover which the only method is shotty or longnet. We longnetted a thorny patch yesterday to only get one lol. Im not too keen on it as i only really ferret the moors
  24. He obvo knows how to kill a rabbit fast as he killed it fast when he actually got round to the stretch method what a prick
