Very bad advice Councils are under no legal obligation to kill badgers, and like everyone else, is legally unable to touch them or their setts. I have known badgers that have killed lambs, especially when there is population pressure. The sooner something is done about the disease ridden vermin, the better. Alas, I fear the cuddly bunny brigade will hold sway for sometime yet...... There are council controllers out there somewhere mate. They are trained and have permits to controll them. It aint cruel, if its done at birth. If you want to breed your ferrets, for the line quality then you will only want a couple. So knock the rest on the head. I dont expect any of yous would find killing a rabbit cruel, so why not killing a ferret.

Why bother taking a spade? If you can't locate your ferret where you going to dig? I never used to use a locator, but i learn't the hard way, hope for your sake you don't have to. If you have a dog, and a probe. Sometimes you can get a mark and find the tunnel. Otherwise if there is a racket, and you can hear the rabbit then its a method of trial and error

This is my last post on this thread, but I would like to say that it is his buisness how many dogs he keeps. As long as he is not a dealer then there shouldnt be a problem with that. Noone knows his circumstances, maybe hes had these dogs a little while, found a new missus and she doesnt want them around. But no matter what, unless you want to buy it it is none of our buisness if he wants to sell a few hounds
