A Couple Of Hours At Black Cat Hft Today.....
davyt63 replied to Jonjon79's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Nice to see you down again today Jon,and glad you joined the club. Yes plenty coming up with meets shooting events, and a league system. Good to see you again, and glad your daughter is happy withe HW 50. -
Cheers lads, I just thought that if they're both similar lengths sticking a mod on the end of the TX is so obviously going to add a few inches If you was to put a moderator on a TX,you will have to remove the plenum insert first, pretty easy to with a 5p coin.unscrew anti clockwise.

Thanks Renos

Definitely try before you buy! I have/had both but recently sold my 97 mainly due to it weight,as I am getting an ole get lately, lol It was a .22 but was really accurate, with its stage 2 tune form Sandwell. I still have my TX .177 which is also really accurate, fettled by myself,it's lighter than the 97 and as my friends say I shoot the TX better,so it was down to personnel preference for me. Both accurate guns, but out of the box the TX wins, for me.

Nice offer Mac,have you tried your local scout group, they are always willing to have support like this.

Hi Mac Is that saturated/wet in oil? Or is that a high gloss finish? It's like the finish that true oil gives.

£375/£400 ?

Hi Chris If you are shooting competitions HFT/FT and the like,I would get your rifle tuned professionally. If you are using it for plinking/hunting then a strip down replace top hat and guide for plastic/delrin. de-grease every part,de- burr all component parts ,Polish internally/ piston and compression tube, trigger strip down and fettle. Regrease and put back together. Put over a chrono, and if it's ok you are ready to go again,it's fairly easy to do just having the tools to do it.you will be surprised what a difference it will make. However I have shot a Nick Gibney tune and it's

Totally agree with you VM,only ever managed 3/5 at 25yds,great bit of fun!

Hi I bought a HW57 just because I believe that it can't really be that shit! Going buy all the reviews and bar at Blackpool . So I thought there is a challenge, and I can say my finding at 25yds,it was grouping under a 5p coin 18mm. However if you shake the rifle back n fourth, you can hear how loose a fit the pellet is in the pop up breech. I would like to see HW redesign the breech with a O ring recessed ,so it gives the pellet some stability. Nice little under lever ,but the HW 99s is much more better, and accurate out to 65yds. Would I buy another or recommend no I wouldn't,

Rifle Sling Advice And Recommendations
davyt63 replied to RecoilReaper's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Hi RR you will need some like these or the like http://www.unclemikes.com/accessories/rifle-swivels/22-tube-magazine-full-band the 95/99 will need a bigger size,as it will attach to the barrel, the 97 however will need a smaller size as it connects to the underlever. to stop things slipping,i would put a small layer of inner tube ,to stop it sliding. i have used electrical tape, but when the weather gets hot,it tends to move as the adhesive softens, since using the rubber inner tube i have had no problem. fitting to the stock is pretty easy, think there is YT vids to look at,you -
