  2. hello,...now i know what ragwort is..... however how many types are there? the reason, ive been pulling loads of weeds that i have always thought of as ragwort (a type of ragwort)...but a old lad told me the other day it wasnt.... this weed starts off as a green shoot and then starts to get a yellow bud on it then into a flower...they are very easy to pull out once they get to half a foot.....i cant realy escribe it much better and i cant find any pics. dos anyone know what im reffering to? thanks
  3. what vets was it deputydog?
  4. yep, unfortunatley ive never seen a half decent, never mind good doberman... infact, when you really get amongst it and start test dogs in terms of 'real' protection dogs, there not alot that can do the job...and do it consistently there is a world apart from a dog barking when your doorbell rings or when a stranger comes to your yard to a real manstopping animal......a world of difference...and 90% of people on here wouldnt be capable or have the need for suh animals.....guard dogs are not toys.
  5. hello mad al,...have you done anything along the lines of protection work with them? how did they fair?
  6. just not when im there mate.....
  7. Thats odd, my stags if i take them out the box and handle them then put them back they usually 'feel the need' and do their thing. yep very odd mate,......i think its 2 years ive had him now mate and no never seen him 'on the job'.....
  8. hello, i had a slight problem with them laying everywhere at first,....but they cottoned onto what was expected in due course.... one thing i have noticed...ive never seen the cock bird serve his hens...ever!
  9. [i give them plenty grit, is this an issue and in what way? also, i feed them only once, but usually find there are still a little left the next day in their troughs so they arent going hungry. areet,..imo you will attract rats and disease this way, and it also doesnt look very tidy imo having corn left in troughs etc... i feed mine 3 times aday, never a grain left, and if there is, back in the bin it goes for next time
  10. hello,..ive applied and failed for the last 3 years running with Tyne and Wear fire brigade first time i failed on the written test....my fault second time i failed the application form (imo my application form was perfect so i phoned them up and asked why i failed....they wrote me a letter saying i int meet the criteria for a certain question....the question was give a example of when you have worked with people from different origins and ages so as im a personal trainer / and fitness instructor....i basically explained that id worked with people from all backgrounds and ages
