    me trev and bairn went back today 16 rabbits it was hard work will let trev finish post as im to knackered. john

    same happened to lad who i go ferreting withs ferret a few weeks ago got the sxxt kicked out of it by rabbit his missis had to feed it raw egg and a tiny bit of warm milk till it pulled round took over a week tho.

    ye was lucky enough to get in touch with trev through this site and have been out with him quite a few times now on a few of his permisions always a good day out he`s first class lad always willing to help.will be out with him again on sunday so watch out for another report. john

    Had another day in yorkshire today with trev (nehunter) off here and his dad did some big sets in the woods couldent work my jills with trevs hobs as they are comeing into season so it was left up to trevs hobs (3) and the rabbits were giving them the run around in these big sets but they stuck to it like trojans and worked there socks off first class as its there 1st season rabbits bolted steadily all day and we didint have to dig much. netted 1 small set put ferret down and out popped a stoat right in front of trev.so that was that off with the nets and move on ended up with 21 fat rabbit

    i have a poley hob and he is massive was a great worker and is soft as clarts was suprised at the places he could get when he was working he`s that big lives the good life now scince i got him snipped to much money to loss down a hole. john.

    had to take my sandy hob away from the jills about 2,1/2 weeks ago and he`s the same sitting looking very sad for his self but he`s made his self a lovely bed to mope in the snipped hob hasent came into season yet so he`s living it up with the jills.

    the jill i gave you is not in season yet but she will come into season as the days lenghon.when she does she will have to be taken to a vet to have a jill jab to bring her out of season mated to a snipped hob or mated to an entire hob which will result in her haveing kits but they need to be brought out of season.

    just received same collar put batterys that came with it in and worked no bother was out ferreting all day yesterday but i am useing mine with a mk3 locator. atb john.

    well went at 4.30 by the time a found the gaffer to get the dog locked up and got me gear found a canny spot behind some pallets of compost after about 25mins mr bunny comes hopping along hedge stopped about 20m away aimed 1 down nowt else apeared moved to bottom of nursery hid in corner 15mins later no2 pops out stook its head up took aim dead.waited for a while nowt else so walked back to van on way heard a russel in the hedge flicked switch on rifle big bloody rat put a 177 between its eyes.never seen another rabbit apart from the 2. went home freezing.

    im going back later on around dusk to see whats going on but when i had a look around yesterday couldent see any runs or places were they were getting through fence to snare might no something better later might be his amagination sees 1 and thinks hes infested. atb john.

    no owner lives alongside the place and say`s hes seen them going in he put some traps in and caught 2

    got a phone call of a nursery owner asking if i could sort rabbits out that are feasting on his plants went and had a look today plenty evidence of rabbits took me into a poly tunnel full of plant pots with just stalks in them seems the bunnys ate all the plants in 3 nights had a good look around the hedgerows and fields but couldent find 1 set not a hole so were there living who nos. found the owner had some crack with him and he says on a night its like watership down and all the crap and scrapeings about a well believe him so it looks like its not 1 for the ferrets going back tomorro night

    my younger hob came into season about two weeks ago so is now seperated from the rest but the older snipped hob is still ok and is still in with the jills

    as above would probably be better as pet works ok and bolts rabbits ok but wont come out of holes very frendly and has never bitten anybody about 18 months old or if anybody has time to spend on its training. pm me if interested im in gateshead.

    same here me and wife raced greyhounds for years one night in pub she said to someone when me and him used to go dogging whole place went quite get some funny looks when we go in now atb john
