Those ''war dogs'' are still just fighting bulldogs. Might be slightly less 2-dimensional though. Mastiff is a dumb term, because they're all bulldogs and boarhounds. Boarhounds are actually rugged outdoorsman while the bulldog is sorta just a fighting dog that an outdoorsman may have. Bulldogs can catch but they're not the same w/o sighthound blood. Bulldog x Sighthound makes a boarhound, real dogs that can run and catch stuff. Something the wild world needs to fear. As it stands cougars weigh more and have more robust forelimbs but even their stupid little hands couldn't subdue a greyhound so for a leopard to subdue a Dogo it would need a 20lb size advantage at least. They're slightly better at kicking and screaming than cougars, I'll give you that, but at the end of the day their mouth goes open and shut in its death spasms from a Dogo eating it like the stupid animal it is. Less stupid than cougars, but still fully awful at everything combative.

Yes, they're stupid creatures they deserve it. Maybe they'll learn to fight instead of being pussies. Even hyenas do better than them, at least while they don't do shit they're durable. Saw one getting the shit beaten out of it by a Boerboel in a trailer, they're also useless but better fighters than cougars and more durable. I would love to tie down a cougar's little hands and then let a bunch of Jagdterriers slowly nip it to death while artificially inseminating it through its ass.

Isn't hunting pigs cruelty? Pretty sure they're even on that front. I'm aware dogs can kill pigs, my friend Antonio Hardcastle has a cousin that had a Bullwolfhound that ripped out a pig's throat, indeed they're capable of killing pigs. They're even more capable of killing fragile felines.

Are they though? It depends on the dog. Wilderness survival doesn't require Einstein levels of intellect. ''ambush foes, don't fight.'' is the cat's approach to every situation. It's not really smart it's just an obvious response. How fast are roos? I'd bank on the idea that a Bull Arab or something with high greyhound content or a Bullstag would be capable of running one down.

Yeah there's a reason for it and it's a valid reason, just not something I personally would do if I was a cat hunter. The videos of Dogos beating up cougars are far and few in between sadly, that video I sent earlier is a video not even I seen I searched it because someone else told me they saw it and it was deleted. I shout the killing ability of big cats from the highest mountain, but if killing ability was relevant in a fight with a working catch dog of similar size then greyhounds would be able to beat them. I personally don't really approve of the pen fights just because they can't learn to enjoy it like boars and they're liable to die. They should be able to earn their freedom. I think you're better off letting younger dogs hunt with the adult ones. I think the pen fights are a good indicator of how a fight between a catch dog and cougar/leopard of equal size will go though.
