you are very right there mate 100% is asking a bit much for any dog they all have bad days and hard times! some times its us that messes up and lets the dog down! once we had a dog in a good dog to! and a bitch that was coupled up broke loose and went in!when we got to the first dog the bitch had a good hold on his nuts it was a real mess i can tell you and it spoiled the dog. sorry to go off on one but a good pub tail

had a few good terriers in my life! and some rubbish too, only got what i was realy looking for after digging with a very well known terrierman and he tought me all about the trade and what was what, got to get the best dog you posably can blood i mean and some good advice!! at the start i waisted time and money beleive me on dogs that were supposed to be well bred but were rubbish. The way that terrier work is looked on now it must be hard to find good blood for the beginers but they got to persevere if they can.hope this advice works for you!!

Alimac That's what I was asking.There is no dog in particular I am referring to,just in general.I ask this based on conversations when folks say"too big for me".But I agree with you,as long as the desire to hunt,and everything else is in the dog,why would one not keep him?thanks uru fox dogs need to get in to tight places real tight sometimes, and some dogs may want to but cant so horses for corses mate! cant put a square peg in a round hole, keep a surtain dog for a surtain job!! thats the way matey. -

topper your bang on there! my mate had a bitch supposed to be bred from old bill brightmoor lines! she looked as hard as hell but wouldnt stay or even go farther than her body length in any earth,we tried an tried to get her working but no chance, she was aggresive to all other dogs and looked like she would kill anything but was useless. dont waist your time with it. this is why there is so much talk about bad breeding because it waist time and money and only ends in the outcome of the gun!! dont try and hole end them it could ruin the best dog beleive me!! let them work and learn there trade -
