True story but not hunting related... My sister was eating out in a gastro pub recently when a strange woman (who the sis didn't know) approached her and said: "Hi, did you recently lose your grandad etc etc. Although we did my sis just told the old lady that she had made a mistake and we had suffered no such loss; to which the unknown woman replied (very sure of herself): "I think you did, 'cos he's stood behind you" before sitting down at a nearby table. Needless to say, my sister shat herself (but probably finished her meal the greedy cow)

Not many people compare Slash with Hendrix 'cos they are too different. People do say that Hendrix was/is the best but what they actually mean is that he was the most reveloutionary. Jimmy basically invented the modern day electric guitar. He was an inspiration to Van Halen who took the ball and ran. Vai is imho the most technically advanced but give me 30 mins of Slash any day. I play the guitar and it takes me about half an hour to learn a GNR track but I wouldn't have a prayer of learning some of the Vai or EVH stuff.......but.....like I said.....I'd rather listen to Slash.

This story makes the dogs more useful than PCSO's (who, incase anyone doesn't know, watched a child drown without helping because "they weren't properly trained".

I'm not trying to cause any arguments or niggling, just trying to generate some opinions. Whilst visiting this site lately I've seen loads of litters/dogs advertised "TO WORKING HOMES ONLY". By dis-allowing the pet owner/occasional worker from buying our stock are we diluting working blood on a national scale by creating a market for the pet breeder? My point is this: If Little Johnny wants a Patterdale etc and you turn him down, he's not going to go off the idea. Cheers guys, Have just been told a story of someone getting a £2000 fine for docking! A freind told me who breeds Patts and it's scared him so much he has left his latest litter with tails. I'm going to tell him about those bands. Cheers. My mate got quoted £60 by a vet to dock the pups so I thought about selling them for £190 with vet docked tails. TBH it depends on the size of the litter 'cos if she only has around 4 I will get rid of them within a circle of friends. How you getting on with yours Vin? Just goes to show the problems with people breeding dogs just for the sake of showing or cuddling. I bet most russells are now bred for showing; whereas 30 years ago I would have have had loads of replys (if the net was invented). It's either the above, or my wife is too fussy!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, I am expecting a litter of Pat x JRT's (diggers) after chrimbo and want some public opinion. If you were buying a terrier pup, would you pay £60 extra for a docked tail? Cheers Craig

My missus has agreed to let me have another dog as part of a compromise. I already have a Fell and a parson terrier. Personally I'm not bothered what it looks like as long as it is from good stock, but as I said, it's a compromise and the wife's conditions are this: It must be a smooth coated, short legged and docked dog no older than 12 weeks!!!!! I live in South Yorkshire but will travel for the right dog. Thanks in advance. Please keep any sarcastic comments to yourself. As I said, I don't care what it looks like but the Wife has spoken!!!!
