    Not constantly but you can’t hunt 24/7 can you? Your either lamping or out in the day there’s 12/18 more hours in a day , Iv sat on my phone on a dig while waiting for a dog to settle and spent many hours on my phone when out with hounds ?

    Tbh I keep myself to myself know a few lads dotted around the country i visit but otherwise alone , there are people on here that do alot but don’t say but you never know how much the next man does , Iv met complete and utter idiots but they put the miles in ?

    I find talking to the lads I know , most people don’t need a houndx a pointerx or most lurchers will find game if it’s around , up those wales hills there’s not a lot game so the houndx do come into there own , Iv been all over and had days catching 4/5 foxes with lurchers you’ll never do that up in wales but places like Dartmoor and other moors more north you will

    Iv seen a few Welsh houndx seem to have a decent coat , lads usually use a nice big dog hound thst doesn’t mind teeth we both now a lot of hounds are pretty shy of teeth unless there in a pack , i seen a dog out of a bullx to a harrier bitch couple seens ago real nice dog

    Be quicker than a pure hound mate , spent a fair bit time around both , the half x don’t speak as much as a pure aswell usually when really close or sighted

    They’ve got to be brought on from pup and at the mountains 3/4 a week to be any good at that stuff from what I can gather , it’s really a specialist type of dog work

    If you thinking cover and not open moors , I’d going with a pointer x mate , much easy to live with and generally be around and those houndx can really go the distance if you don’t want to be chasing them for miles ?
