Hello Geoff, you can remove your vote and vote again for both. Thanks Ian, done that now. It's easy when you know how!!

Any of our dogs that get "the runs", are fed on chicken and boiled rice. (No bones) This will sort out the digestion, then you can slowly re-introduce your chosen diet until you find what is not agreeing with it.

Absolutely bloody sickening!!! All the lads in the Ayr area, who run lurcher types properly, should get together and find these morons. Shop them to the police, or deal out your own justice. Until you do, the general public will have you all tarred with the same brush.

I voted for Winchester, as my new CZ Style carbine seems to perform best with these. Actually, it seems to perform equally well with Eley or Winchester, grouping nicely even if you put them through in random order. The Eley though, are 50p per box of 50,more than the Winchester, so as there is no noticeable difference I will buy on price. Ian, can you adjust my price to 40 pounds? I forgot to allow the discount for 500, and put full price.

Thanks for the info on getting rid of the shout box,I have already mentioned it in another post. Hope when I get in "preferences", I can stop the bottom (last) post appearing first when clicking on a thread? Edit. The shout box has gone!! Also, pressed the alternative view button, on the bottom of a thread and it now starts at the top. Bargain!

It is coming up a bit brighter than before. No doubt I will get used to the new set-up, but I would like to lose that shout box thing from the top of the page.

That's actually not a bad price, particularly as it's for two. Clay pigeon instruction usually starts at around $35 including clays, but supply your own shells. (That's 35 pounds not dollars, but the pound sign has given up!!!) A session usually lasts a good hour.

This is a pet hate of mine too, someone posts a few pictures, then several replies put up including all the b*****y pictures again. This must slow up the system? Things are working ok tonight, but yesterday I just gave up, nothing was loading at all. In fact, I found I was still logged on when I came on tonight.

A lot of gun dogs will retrieve quite naturally, even at 8 weeks old. You can make it more formal and tidier as she matures. In the meantime, play with a small toy and encourage her to come to you with it. Also, if she comes tottering towards you carrying one of your best shoes, a sock, gloves, the post, remote control, or anything else you left in her reach, she's a "Good Girl", call her in and take the item sounding pleased. Never tell her off for bringing you things. I sometimes see dogs working gun dog tests, who almost creep in with the retrieve article looking really apprehensive, and I

7 a.m.? Can this pup get out to do toilet if it needs to? Pups, like human babies, cannot hold water for long, about 4 hours max. When you have a new pup, you should be up and let it out for about 5 a.m. so it is comfortable, then go back to bed for a while. Bringing up a pup is hard work for the first few weeks, if you do right by it.

As said before, petrol ones can be a bit thirsty, but diesels are better. We had a 52 plate 2.0DTI, it ran 40,000 miles on the front Michelins and about 75,000 on the rears until one was punctured and was replaced with 3mm on it. Front discs and pads done at about 70,000. A side lamp bulb and a brake lamp bulb was about all it had otherwise. On it's last but one MOT, a broken front coil spring was found, although no symptoms like leaning or rattling experienced. The spill pipes were changed about 90,000, due to air getting in the fuel system. Other than these few items, it was a amazingly reli

Very true John, nothing will change really. None of the current parties is fit for government IMHO. Regarding the hunting act, Cameron has promised a free vote. Being a tory does not mean being a hunting supporter. Enough of them voted for the ban before, so I can't see any change coming soon.

I am just waiting for my FAC to come back, with a variation on it. My RFD has taken my old CZ in, and I have reserved a new CZ "style" .22rf. It has a nickel finish action and a black abs stock. $329, that's pounds not dollars, but the pound sign won't work??!! I am also getting a new mod and scope mounts. Might be back in action next week.

I wish people would not "quote" on these long posts, it makes miles of stuff to scroll through. Derek, as the RSPB will not be calling on 99% of folks on here, would you like to summarise the reasons for your post? I can only see two links, one is about RSPB on raids, and the other is about partly clothed children. I just don't see what you are getting at, and going on the lack of posts, perhaps no one else can?

Hi Andy, the "Black rabbit" question has been asked before on here. If you have a trawl you may find the posts. Clusters of blacks seem to be reasonably common, I have them on my permission just outside Derby, and there is a colony about 2 miles away from it, that live on a bridge with a big verge on one side, over the A38! As you say, they live alongside normal brown rabbits, and I agree they are usually slightly smaller, although I have a couple of big un's that I can't get near. I can't say if they are all does though, so will now take particular notice when I have one.

Paranoid? I think not, there is much truth in what you say. No doubt migmog has innocently started a thread, but it can contain much information useful to the dog and equipment thieves we keep hearing about on here. As soon as I see a "Show us your", or "Lets see your"etc title, I find I become suspicious these days.

I was only little then "Only little then"! Wow Kay, when I bought my first record, your mum was only little!! Surprised I can actually remember, but it was Living Doll, by Cliff Richard.

It's also worth checking, if a divers shop locally, can help. There is one near here that will fill your "buddy bottle", if you have one. If not, they will pressurise your PCP direct if you take in your adaptor. They even stock a range of pellets now.

reducing fixed choke 3/4 to 1/2 cost ?
Geoff.C replied to welshboy454's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
In his 2nd post, welshboy says he want's to shoot steel. I think he is doing the right thing to get the choke eased a bit. Pretty sure 1/2 choke max is recommended by most cartridge makers for steel. This is due to no deformation of the pellets, on the outside of the shot column as it passes through the restriction. So it should not be "squeezed" too much. Yes Spot on. just had a franchi opend out a bit ,top barrel was a tight half, and now just under, as i want to put steel through it, 25 quid Bargain! That's a good price! -

Ok, well not the best quality pics you have posted Kay, but the bitch couldn't care less what she looks like! She is having a blast round the field, and enjoying it, that's the main thing.

Don't bother with gun dealers. Most send out to a smith, then add their mark-up. Check around for a local gun smith. 3/4 opened to 1/2 is only about .010" to hone out. The last one I had done was about 30 quid I think. -
I know they don't have a good reputation on here, but the RSPCA should be able to help Kay. This is probably what they do best. If you think these swans are in a dangerous situation, they could be caught and moved to somewhere more suitable. Nice pics by the way!

Never seen any of the "copperhead" CCI, probably won't if they are discontinued. I have been using some from my RFD which are packed in 100's in a amber coloured plastic box. They don't have the blue label like the picture in this thread, I wonder if they are old stock? I do get the occasional loud "cracker", and have had one or two that were just too tight to chamber, so pushed them into the ground under the hedge. Generally though, they seem fine, but if I have a choice, I use the Magtech same as deker when they are available

Reported last night in the local evening paper, a 63 year old man was fined 200 pounds and 75 pounds costs, for failing to comply with the conditions of his shot gun license. The gun was not safely secured on March 15TH. There is no detail about this, or how the police? caught him out, but it may be a wake up call to anyone who is not too conscientious about locking away his guns. Don't get careless lads. The use a stolen gun could be put to, doesn't bear thinking about.
