  1. It's hard to get the grey shades right but this should be close enough
  2. Great stuff, the Peter Stankovic looks better just shows going minimal can look much better
  3. Quick go, not completely finished but really enjoyed doing this one
  4. The tash came out quite comical as it turns out they are really hard to do. But here's my effort, the clothing should be accurate. Happy to stop posting them here if people are tired of it ?
  5. In my head this is me every dog walk. The reality is trying to pick up my dogs best attempt at a home brew chicken korma with a Poundland dog shit bag that's thinner than Kate moss
  6. Yes the originals win every time I think, unless you have serious money and time to do them professionally
  7. Great pic thanks for sharing. Tried my best with it. I agree with others that colour isn't needed for these great photos, but it is just a bit of fun to see them come to life a bit more.
  8. Tried to do it bud but computer said error can't process muppets. Worked on the dogs though ?
  9. Amazing thanks. Why would he have a sighthound for that? Or did he just grab the crook/dog for the photo do you think
  10. Thanks everyone for kind feedback. Had a go at the ones above but groups are out of my skill range at the moment but I'll keep trying. Instead I had a go at this old fella I'm guessing from the crook he was a shepherd? Any other ideas what he might have been doing?
  11. Cheers pal. My only other one so far, hoping to do one tonight. These are sighthounds on display in the USA in the year 1940. Not sure of any other details.
  12. Evening guys hope this post is allowed. I have recently learnt how to colour black and white photos on Photoshop. I've been doing some of sighthounds and posted them on Instagram (sighthoundsincolor). If you post any black and white photos of lurchers or sighthounds i will attempt to colour them for you. All I ask in return is that I can post the end result on my Instagram (can crop people if desired) This is just a daft winter hobby of mine that's helping me improve my it skills. As a thanks for reading, I've attached a stunning bull lurcher from ww1, I wouldn't want t
  13. Sorry thought I was on a fishing bait forum when I posted that ? atb
  14. The coat I use is one it was born with. Why? Because I know it works. How do I know this? I can trace my dogs line back to the 1100s, and if you're kinds survived that long, you're made of good stuff.
  15. Pup from his latest litter. Not bought for your guys uses. Rescues wouldn't let us have one as we don't have an 500 acre garden with 9ft titanium fencing, an orchard of extinct exotic fruits and both work more than 23 minutes a week. Cost more than I wanted at 500 but I know people paying 4k for spaniels at the moment. Jeff's eccentric and conditions not ideal but my last dog (beddy whippet) lived under a car in a Lincolnshire farm when I bought her, these dogs attract these types. The dog himself is very switched on, very experienced professional local t
  16. Got one of jeffs newest pups as a pet not the same reasons you guys get them. I agree the line cannot be traced to the 1200s, I think he has twisted this as the first recorded use of the word Lurcher in English is from the 1200s, it came from the french word lerce which meant sneaky/lurker. Of course these dogs have been around forever, there is even a roman mosaic of a lurcher in the british museum. Regardless, he breeds lovely looking dogs, and is very eccentric lol
