  1. See on the thread you started. Use Google to find campsites in the area you want, there's loads.
  2. Mate has just got a eurohike genus 400 airbeam tent for him and his boys, no poles, just pump and peg it for £250 from go outdoors. Airbeds to sleep on, sleeping bags but normal pillows. Double gas burner for cooking but use cartridge gas rather than bottles, I get 4 for £5. Folding table/benches, kids can eat at it of play games. Decent cooler box, most sites will freeze blocks for you. Alternatively you can get a 12v/240v cooler. I have a big one that runs on the mains overnight to chill down then runs on 12v wherever I'm driving. £90 from Halfords. Use plates and mugs, pots and ut
  3. They got the ferry to Stromness today, smooth crossing. Settled into a lovely place with a sea view. The lads have been out on the kayaks for a try out while they plan a 2 night wild camp. It's warmer up there than down here!
  4. Get hold of a book called "The way of a transgressor" by Negley Farson. American guy who had an amazing life. He got hold of a boat in Southampton, refitted it and went to Europe via Rotterdam. Took rivers and canals and got all the way to Romania. Took the Kette boat (chain driven tow) up the Frankishe Jura mountain river, made it to the Danube and the marshes, fished for sturgeon and shot ducks for food. An incredible life story.
  5. Jim spent a couple of weeks on the NC 500 last year, would have been longer but he went down a bike trail that was worse than expected. Came a cropper and buggered his right arm and shoulder.
  6. He's out on the paddleboard.
  7. He's been for a paddle, reckons it's bloody freezing.
  8. He's finding some lovely places to camp.
  9. Yep, the van and the car with the tentbox on top. Tomorrow they're going up again on the MTBs. Then a rest day before the next bit, they're watching for a weather window to do a 2 night 3 day kayak trip around the Orkneys. They've got a few days booked in a croft somewhere so the girlfriends and Jims mum are flying up to join them. Sadly I couldn't make this trip but I did Snowdon with them last year. Well they did Snowdon, I stayed and did some kayaking, cooked their meals and did their laundry!
  10. He's on his way down now, a quick bbq and then they're going off on the bikes somewhere. I've got an app called life 360 on the phone so I can track wherever he is. He might be 40 but it don't stop me worrying! Last year he had a bad fall in the same area and drove back to Somerset unable to use his right arm.
  11. Jim and his mate are in Scotland for a few weeks, set off at 6am yesterday and reached Ben Nevis at 4pm. Got set up, bbq and beer and rested ready to climb to the summit today. They got a brilliant show of the Northern lights. He just sent a pic from the top, cold beer and a snowball fight.
  12. West Yorkshire is the area with the most prolific cases of incest producing children with birth abnormalities. Now I wonder what 3rd world tribe contributes most of those birth defects? You won't need more than 1 guess. Sisters, cousins, goats, they ain't fussy.
  13. Thanks Phil, my son made up a trolley with wide wheels for getting down the beach, it attaches through the drain holes. The kayak is light enough to get on and off the car on my own. If you go for an ebike be aware that the wide wheel folders are extremely difficult to pedal normally and usually more expensive than large wheel non folders. Mine was £784 last summer and has been great, Longest ride to date was 37 miles and managed just under 50 miles on a charge. I often use mine in preference to the car, I can carry a full food shop and stop off for a couple of beers on the way home. On
  14. Lots of ebikes have a throttle option and most can be tweaked to up the top speed. I only really use the power on hills, that increases the range by a lot. I got an Eleglide T1, unlike most bikes it came with lights, mudguards and a decent back rack. I've added a trailer which attaches to the seat post, there's a few places I fish that I can't get close with the car but the bike gets me there. My kayak is a Feelfree double, very stable, I pack the fishing gear or camping stuff in the front and use it in fresh water and at sea. It's great fun paddling along the coast and finding littl
  15. Not too bad thanks mate, getting older, more aches and pains but retired now so more time on my hands. Less shooting since rabbits are almost non existent round here. Just a few shots to keep the magpies away from my nesting birds and check zero. Took up kayaking and got an ebike, Tentbox on the car so plenty of mini breaks. Doing some stealthy wildcamps with the ebike and a 2 man tent, great fun.
  16. Change those stock screws Jimmy, brass or bronze and space them out with little nylon washers to make them flush, also stops them contacting the internal alloy rail. I gave out some on here years ago, not sure if they're still available but I could ask if needed.
  17. I'm glad to see the Prosports still doing well, mine isn't used as much now but still comes out every now and then. I'm still using AAFields 4.52 from a big batch from 2014 that were brilliant, I've got 2 sleeves left, I reckon the last 2 sleeves will see me out. Price? £7 per tin. That was the old days!! It's good to see some old names still using a PS, I wish my health would let me get out like I used to but sadly I can't manage a long day with a heavy rifle anymore, a relief for the woodies!! Regards to Pianoman, Bigmac and Villaman, keep going!! Tim. Formerly timmytree.

Yep, just look around at every country town across Britain, Turkish/Iraqi/Iranian barbers, cash only car washes, kebab shops. London and places like Bradford, Leeds, Rotherham etc are already ghettos, reduced to 3rd world status and in many cases no go areas for decent people and the police. I've worked in Coventry and been warned off walking up a street in daylight because of the muslim mafia that robs anyone not in their perverted sect.

One more thing to remember, the way the Christian world wages war is army against army where possible and at least try to avoid civilian casualties. Not always possible but at least we make an effort. Hamas went into civilian areas, killed indiscriminately, set people on fire, disembowelled a pregnant woman, beheaded people and were told to film themselves kicking the heads around and send the footage to relatives of the dead. They decapitated children with a spade and a first responder after the attack reported that they had put a baby in an oven and roasted it alive. That is the ty

Apathy on the part of younger people certainly, they don't care as long as they can still get their shite food delivered and new phones every year. Grand design? Probably. The more people like Youssaf, Khan and Sunak have control the more likely they will encourage their muslim friends and protect them. They might make the right noises in public but they are as two faced as any muslim, their religion wants to take over the world and rule it under Islamic law. England went to war in the Holy Land during the crusades to defeat Islam and restore Jerusalem to Christianity (which came hu

Which is why the West and Israel need to do the job properly. To my mind there is no distiction between Hamas, Hezbollah and other terror groups and their supporters. The common denominator is that they are all muslims. Most may not say they support terrorists, that's because at heart they are cowards. They hide behind their women and children, hide among civilians in hospitals and schools, attack those least likely to fight back. Hamas stated after the attack that they view every Israeli as a soldier, no matter whether civilian, woman, child or pensioner. Well I hope Israel fights by the

You've forgotten that they get instant access to NHS services, often a medic available every day. The nearest place to me with them in has even got them signed up to a private dentist with the NHS paying the bills. They all got given brand new bikes too, mostly wrecked now though.
